Hey Brother (Avici voice) I wanted to say thanj you and take a minute. Your content inspired me to build a van and I used a lot of your same concepts. Thank you for the inspiration. You won’t know what you’ve done for me mentally, you’ve facilitated my ability to allow myself to to create, build, take risk, and learn. 🙏🏽 much appreciated! My van is built. Thank you. I’ll send you picture if I can find you on instagram. Your content makes a big difference! 🤙🏽🙏🏽
I’m grateful for subscribers like you Zach! Thank you for sticking around, and taking the time out of your day to leave this comment. Feel free to send me some photos of your completed build. 🏔🚐💨
Hey just want to say I love your videos bro. Just recently bought a conversion Chevy express 2003 I have been looking for a video with the same model where I can get some ideas on how to turn my vehicle into a camping van. This one is really it. 🔥 🔥 🔥 can’t wait to do this in the spring
Thank you incredibly much for your positive comments. These are the comments that inspire me to keep it up. Thanks for watching. Good luck on your build I’m sure it will turn out great!
Really enjoyed this build! I have a 95 B2500 that looks almost exactly as yours did when you got it including paint, converted by Elk. Mechanically she's sound now after driving and repairing her for the past three years. Been looking at ideas for the eventual build out and came across your channel. I think I would almost do a copycat build aside from a couple minor things. One real important thing that I will do while it's gutted is to make an access panel for the fuel pump. I say that because it is a royal pain if it goes out(Usually right after you fill the 35 gallon tank)and frankly more work than it should be. Other than that she looks fantastic!
That’s excellent! There aren’t too many examples of this van on TH-cam, so I am glad you were able to find my content 🙂 This van was sitting for awhile with only 90k miles. After replacing all the fluids, brakes, and tires this thing runs beautifully. Really happy I was able to find it for a really good deal. Feel free to use any ideas you see from my build and expand on them to make it something great! Always love to see other peoples rigs so feel free to send them my way via email (in the description). Thank you for commenting! 🏔🚐💨
@@MikeBlake-em2ht yes, if you’d check out my channel I have a brief video explaining what I did. I’m also not an electrician so taking electrical advice from me isn’t full proof and I would consult a professional (something I also mention in previous videos). Really appreciate you taking the time to comment, check out some of my other videos when you have a moment.
just have a quick question i have a 1999 dodge high top van that im looking to buy a roof rack to mount solar pannels onto but can't seem to find anything online was wondering if you had an ideas as to where i could find one to buy
Unfortunately if you have a high top made out of fiberglass there’s no great way to mount a roof rack to it. I searched around like a crazy person and the conclusion was they don’t really exist. You can fabricate one, but I’d still advise you to not put too much weight/pressure on a fiberglass roof. @MikeZ the Astro van wizard has a pretty good video on how he fabricated a roof rack. Hope this info helps, and thanks for commenting!
This build cost approximately 10k once it was all said and done. It can be done cheaper if you are willing to sacrifice some luxuries. Thanks for the question!
Thats going to be incredible! My suggestions would be to build a box that’s a bench seat where my sink is near the door. This box can flip up and underneath is a shower pan and a curtain that rises up to the ceiling and hooks up there. This way it’s multi functional as a seating as well as a pop up shower. Thanks for commenting! 🙂

What was the cost of everything done? Thinking about getting into this.
