Looks super fun, I'm tired just watching you ride, love the sheep!
So cool see the rams. Thanks for sharing!
Rock hopping with the gravel bike was legit!
I just got my 4runner and have been struggling to find a layout to do this, do you by any chance have the plans for this? Thanks!
Great choice getting the 4Runner. I would highly recommend a similar platform drawer system to maximize space and utility. Unfortunately I don't have official plans, but with the high volume of requests I may recreate and produce a new and improved system. Let me know if that is something you would be interested in.
@@SeizeTheAdventureCo absolutely! Thanks for responding I’ll keep an eye out and just subscribed.

Thanks for watching, Betty!
So glad I found you. I too just got a '97 Dodge high top, and have no idea of what I'm doing. Looking forward to seeing how you tackle this. Thank you for doing this.
Welcome! glad you found my videos also. Really enjoyed this Dodge van which was probably my favorite on the channel. Good luck you got this.
Deep ...😀👍
Thanks for watching!
Amazon sells cable glands that already have the wires connected. I used two of these when I was copying your setup :)
@@TrekkerPlanet no way! Thank you such an incredible tip!
Thx! "Deep" indeed! 👍😀
@@Snoopysails heck yeah! Thanks for taking a look
You need to build fishing van. Weekend get away.. that what I'm building it a fusion of camper van and fishing 🎣..astro 1998 is my van.
A designated fishing van is absolutely the dream, great idea. Can’t wait to see your build!
I knew there had to be an easier way to do it!! Thank you! Are you running your cooler off of the Ecoflow also?
Super easy method to follow that can be replicated with many different components! This cable is a game changer. The fridge is run off of 12v from the EcoFlow indeed. Thanks for watching
Perks of living in sunny Colorado ☀️☀️
We are powered by the sun!
Kool .but now we need a low budget divorced living in my van with everything I wanted my pitbull Frankie all my clothes and well the mattress of money is gone .so any junkyard hacks..lol..I'm hot .but happy..
interesting video concept! can't say ill be making this one haha!
@@SeizeTheAdventureCo if figure it out I'll let ya know brother..lol
That was super easy and straightforward. I'll definitely keep this video in mind for the future. Thank you!
Thank you! I tried to keep this short and sweet. Glad its helpful!
Might be worth noting the River 2 has a maximum 100 watt input from solar charge.
Great comment! Thanks for the information this is really useful for other folks!
Nice! I have a spare ecoflow 1300 I might use like this......if i can tetris another panel on top of the van.
good ol fashion panel tetris! haha
I have a 2002 short box astro van last year It only has 110 thousand and I have followed all your build tips ! Spent this summer camping in comfort and style! Thank you so much for your videos because you are so inspiring!
These types of comments keep me making videos! Thanks for watching and I am glad I could help!
Hey dude, building this exact setup for my 5th gen, I went with 2x8s for the extra room. Just ordered the slides, how much room did you leave on each side for the drawers? Gonna try to get everything done before the slides come in.
I use my drawer system almost everyday it was the upgrade for the 5th gen. I used the width of my sliders so that will be determined by whatever sliders you may have bought. Thanks for watching hope this helps
I love your van man Is very nice

What an incredible life you are creating. I can feel it being Home ❤
Home is in the mountains!
9:50 your ceiling problem...I start in the center of the roof, and work my way to the sides, with the grooves toward the outside on either side. A piece of lath covers the center seam.
@@tonybucca5667 awesome thanks for the tip!
12 gauge 👍😅
@@Snoopysails that’s the only to way to fix this problem
Yep! I'm officially jealous. I love that you kept the dark blue interior and accented it with the cedar. The OEM plastic looks way better than 99% of the Astros I've seen for sale in my corner of Colorado. And you found one with the Dutch doors? Win-win. Thanks for sharing your process!
This is what im looking to do with my 4 runner
I would definitely design and create something similar. I thought I would remove it between trips but it has remained inside of the 4Runner for the past year. I use it all the time.
@@SeizeTheAdventureCo im saving up for a trip to asia next year but once i get back i am going to start building something out.
your lucky two propellar arms didnt break. pain in the ass just to get it glued back on and now its stuck extended. now all it does is fly one direction continuously
Surprised myself that didn't happen! We will see if it will fly!
brother these solder joints are fused together🙏🏻 please fix it otherwise you will burn your motor controller
Awesome thank you for your help
That van is CLEAN! Wow. Looking forward to your new build. I'd love to buy one to camp out of but the price of them is so ridiculous now. Love that you found one in such good condition and at (hopefully) a really good price.
@@OutdoorsybyNature it really was a great find! Thanks so much for watching. Keeping looking for your perfect van!
I love that build and hope that mine will be half the van yours is.
@@MsSoozy really appreciate that Soozy, it’s definitely you can achieve! Thanks for watching
Why. Its a beauty. Why not use it. Renter's are a nightmare. Or sell it.
That's a good point Jesse, I really appreciate your input on this!
Rent for extra income
Its definitely tempting! Thank you for your input on this one
Dont rent it, sorry ass people, especially younger campers, will tear it up and you will find yourself in a filthy money pit. Dont do it.
@@micahnix6505 Great point my friend!
Rent it out let other people enjoy and make money too
@@caroltoliver5792 really like the way you think, Carol. Thanks for watching!
@@SeizeTheAdventureCo you're welcome. Rent to mature people that are respectable. Maybe a wheat a time. You will be able to keep up with what is going on with it.
It great to see you working on an astro van. 👏 again.. I'm building 98 astro cargo van. It been 2years on going
Way to keep it simple. Wish I would have done that. Lol. Good looking build. Saw you were in Loveland at the expo. Went to the one in Redmond.
Thanks Carpman, it was hard not to just rip it apart and the design I came up with is probably the most simple yet. Super cheap to build with all the necessities for the perfect "glamp" trip. Always appreciate seeing your comments, thanks for watching!
Tacos, Coffee in the morning, Camping in rooftop tent is Joyful!
@@Alex_Shi824 it’s my ideal weekend! Thanks for watching
Looks awesome setup like this retaining most of the OEM paneling. I think I may just take out the 2 big panels over wheel wells to maybe get few more inches of width - still not sure if worth doing or not.
Thank you, I wanted to keep this van somewhat OEM to preserve it like a 24 almost 25 year old time capsule. You definitely could take out the side plastics which would reveal the tire jack, rear air conditioner, heater which I wanted to keep and would have to build boxes around anyways (the plastic is a much lighter option). But you’ll gain some width right above the wheel wells for sure. The floor plan is still pretty open and compared to my previous Astro with the bed above the wheel well against the wall I can’t notice a decrease in noticeable space. Thanks so much for watching the build!
@@SeizeTheAdventureCo Awesome and thanks for the vid & insight. Pick up my astro next week and will have to just see in person to decide I think. Bed sits out few inches farther into middle of van but keep cup holders, few compartments, and the additional space + storage on 2nd row door + that floor area. Only thing I'm set on ripping out for sure is the floor haha
@@SeizeTheAdventureCo is the bed something like 75” long 24” wide then 44” pulled out?
That little doggie tho
Expo dog!
not sure if you mentioned it and i just missed it, but what thickness of tongue and groove planks did you use for this build? we're looking to do our GMC savanas walls soon :)
@@MyVanSnoopy they are 1/4in pacific knotty cedar planks from home depot they come in packs of 6 I’d highly recommend. Just put them in the 5th camper build of mine. Hope this helps and thanks for watching
@@SeizeTheAdventureCo amazing, i will definitely look into those! thank you so much!! 😊
So great to see that no matter how crazy humans lives become, we still love natural places!
That’s what really makes us human, thank you so much for watching this video it’s one of my favorites on the channel
Good, but I don't understand why the Inner part don't go out as far as the sliding part
This was the first bed design I created without any plans, feel free to check out the “newer” version up on the channel, thank you!
Do you have any video explaining the electrical part of this build I just see before and after don’t know how it got put together
@@MikeBlake-em2ht yes, if you’d check out my channel I have a brief video explaining what I did. I’m also not an electrician so taking electrical advice from me isn’t full proof and I would consult a professional (something I also mention in previous videos). Really appreciate you taking the time to comment, check out some of my other videos when you have a moment.
How many cans of paint did it take
Took two full gallons I’d recommend maybe a third if it’s in the budget to really layer it on there
He’s done it again! Turned out great, nice work
@@andrewmiller-h9i really appreciate you checking it out dude!
