It’s because you were then seeing it on a 192p display with pixels you can see individually, but now you’re seeing it blown up to modern PC or mobile phone displays where individual pixels are half its size or even indistinct to the naked eye, depending on the device.

Daniel Cunningham It's called PRB. Basically, if you keep booting via MTs after the start boost you can go off-road without losing speed. Give it a quick Google search if you want more information.
Kirby Fan using a method called PRB (prolonged rocket boosting) if you continually get mini turbo boosts you can drive through grass without losing speed. It actually is easier than it seems as you just have to drift and move your directional pad left and right once to get blue mini turbo and twice for orange mini turbo
