- Golden Grove High School is full of young people learning to look after the environment in a way that leaves resources for future generations.
This passionate and committed school initiated projects such as: ‘don’t waste what nature gives you’ in Japanese language class with student posters in English and Japanese to help people recycle properly and reduce waste; reducing food waste in Home Economics; and a year 9 elective class, called ‘Landcare’, which helps with revegetation and composting.
The school’s seniors are also launching their own business focussing on living sustainably through gardening, recycling and creating reusable products like produce bags to sell.
But that’s just the beginning. Watch the video to see all the awesome stuff this school has been doing!
