Man so many waves, that place gets real good but you’ll have to do what I did and just ride around and find it 🤐. I don’t really care much these days but still a spots a spot untill it’s fully blown out, lips sealed sorry mate.
@@FollowingABrokenCompass thanks man, well good news we can catch a pipe when visiting the whales. more good news our new local waves will be the southern ones. im stoked as i have been dragging my twin boys around Asia and not giving them a kiwi childhood, so now living on the beach with some of the best waves on the planet and they "10 yrs old" i feel amazing things to come like when i grew up. (beach wise)
Whales and Waves was a nice place right on the water up the top as shown in the video, over near yo yo's the place we stayed in was very budget but there was defiantly some nicer places. I am unsure of the names sorry to not be able to help out more.
Drowned mate, solid swell a few years ago and yeah just one of those things. He was a competent surfer three mates out- he took a wave and then clean up sets came through and they lost sight of him.....found him later in the shallows.
