I have to say. After years I had finally gotten a Gibson Les Paul which I had dreamed for since I was a kid. Played the hell out of it and understood why some guitars demand a higher price tag. My sister owns a CE-24 and it feels comparable, but it didn't click with me. Recently got my hands on a Custom 24 and it was magical. Now that dream Les Paul feels tame next to what I get from my PRS.
We made the video at 5:57!!! It was a pleasure to meet you Tim! Thanks so much for taking the time to come out to MD and share your gifts with us. Wishing you continued success.
Wow! How blessed can any one man be getting Paul himself to help you with your wood selections, etc.. I would be thrilled as hell just to have an se. You deserve it man your awesome I have learned a lot from you. ENJOY!!!
Mr. Smith, I believe I speak for many other people when I say it is time for Mr. Pierce to have his own signature guitar. Tim is an avid fan as well as an accomplished musician that does a great deal of marketing for PRS. Also, Tim Pierce is my favorite guitar player at the time. Keep it up Tim, you are awesome!
Holy hell, im not sure many of you realize what kind of HONOR this must have been. Smith himself personally displaying woods for you to choose, and allowing you to spec out everything to the smallest detail. Thats just incredible. Smith is a class act. Ive been in love with PRS guitars since i got my very first issue of musicians friend with the PRS spread. Was mind blown then, and still am. My CE24 is the best guitar ive ever owned. Congrats on this Tim, must have been such a cool experience.
I cant express enough what a privilege it is to watch your channel. I would have loved to go to PRS but alas my car wouldn't make it. But now I know what it is like in PRS. Thank you Tim.
This video is ridiculous where do I even start? The insane guitars, Hendrix's amp, everyone's playing, the vibe in the factory, the wood vault? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH my head just exploded. Back to my work bench I'm inspired.
I'm very impressed w that A40E as well, its rare to find an acoustic that intonates that good above the 12th fret and rings like an open cord ....I want one !!!!
Really cool Tim! Paul seems a lot more personable in that atmosphere than he does in interviews. I'm looking forward to see your new guitar! Man that would be so awesome to be able to pick out every detail in person with the man himself.
There have only ever been a few guitars that physically take my breath away when I see them. But nearly every guitar showcased here did. I don't usually love a stained guitar, I much prefer paint. The PRS's are utterly amazing.
That neck wood is very nice and tonal!!! Great stuff for Marimba keys!! Some of the nicest boards come from damaged or diseased trees. This would be a dream job for me!!
Oh snap! My wife and I signed up for the event but canceled at the last minute due to a family issue. Now, I am so sorry I missed it. I would have loved to have met you, heard you play and possibly chatted with you.
Take note Gibson. I want to love your guitars again. In my opinion P.R.S. are absolutely the best line produced guitars period. To the people that say they have no soul, try my 95 McCarty. Their quality control is the best in the industry. Taylor is right their also. A good friend has a music store in westminster Md. Coffey music. Every single P.R.S. on the wall from core guitars to the s.e. line is exceptionally well built. Proud to have the P.R.S. team right hear in Maryland!
Can you do a video on what you do when you hear a buzz coming out of your airplane cockpit rig, or when you suspect a cable has gone bad, or a battery is dying? I would imagine you have to inspect everything once per quarter...
thanks for sharing the video. I now know how and where my" Baby" was born.... what was your take on the acoustic..I've been playing Martins forever and am currently looking for another "high end" acoustic now but have not had the chance to play the PRS acoustics yet. I am completely sold on their electric guitars I personally think they out perform them all but was hesitant to stray from the Martins, looking at either the D35, or D42 how does the PRS acoustic compare. I would greatly appreciate any feed back you may have..Thank you ...
Consistently making awesome guitars is what a guitar company should be aiming to do. Consistency. I recently pulled out my 89 PRS from storage and I’m blown away by the quality of fit, tone, playability and robust feel. It’s in regular use now and fighting or no1 spot.
Tim, nice to see the PRS experience from your perspective. What was your meaning of the term "Tempered" when you reviewed the acoustic guitar? You were playing in the upper octaves and commenting on how that instrument solved some intonation issues. Thx!
9 guitars and I dont own a PRS....maybe someday.. maybe. Just everytime I get enough money together to be able to afford one, theres a bunch of others I'd rather have first. But someday. Maybe. Thanks for the tour Tim.
as always great video Tim we're about the same age so I can really appreciate your story and journey in the world of music., hey whats with the hats lately? I know I wear caps outside because my hair is quickly leaving my head and tend to not ewant anymore skin cancer on my balding head..you?
Nice. Interesting... when we cross this video with the ones done by Phil McKnight and The Tone King, it seems like PRS next amp will be based on the Marshall from Hendrix. My 2¢ guess ;j
Judging by the size of the wood blanks it looks like PRS uses one piece bodies for their Private Stock and core models. I've always read that this is an inferior method because one piece bodies are prone to warp.
Fuck! Those pieces of wood are ringing like musical instruments even if they're not turned into guitars yet. Ahhh. Once I get a job and able to save up, I'm gonna buy myself a PRS guitar.
Brad Wesley::: Did you come up with that on your own or did you read it in a Gibson Ad somewhere? Fact is PRS can't make USA guitars fast enough while Gibson is trying to fool you into thinking the guitars they make today are as good as the great guitars they Once made back in the late 50s. And they're also worried they won't be getting too many returns for defects and workmanship this month, but most importantly they're worried they won't be able to make this month's Loan Payments. The Clock is Ticking....Tick Tock Tick Tock.
LakeWater yea,, I love my Gibsons but PRS seem to be showing how it’s done in business, great product, made right, options and models that people actually want. They deserve their success..
I've sold every prs I've ever owned and my Les Paul Traditional is coming with me to the grave. A lot of people really like the tone of PRS guitars though. Different strokes and all that. Give it about 5 or 10 more years of over the top enthusiastic popularity and it'll be just as fashionable to bash PRS as it is to bash Gibson today. It happens to everything that the majority of people consider "best".
People bash Gibson because they have rampant quality control issues throughout their entire line right up to the overpriced True Historics (which Ive had and ultimately sold). PRS from day one has strived to make the best product they can and they've only gotten better at it. I can find a thread multiple times a week relating to Gibson QC issues, cant say that about PRS.
Thanks for uploading. I like the guy, the company, the customer care... but, somehow, I never felt quite attracted by PRS. I've played hundreds of guitars, owned dozens. To me, PRS are well built, finished, balanced but lack a few things, between which tone & mojo. Of course, this is all subjective and personal but, for the price, I suppose you don't get a lot of guitar for the buck. I've seen a copper Tiger at Wilwood that would have been nice, but the thin neck and the price (4,5 grand pre-owned) have convinced me not to go forth. Some models I like: the Studio for its versatility, The DGT for its tonal options, the CE 24 for its price: If Paul can put all these together, I'm in :) BTW: Kiesel does that for a fraction of the price. My 2¢...
No matter what you think of prs guitars, you gotta love their involvement in the guitar community.. unmatched
I don't care what anyone says PRS really do build the best guitars in the industry hands down.
I traded my les paul custom for a 2011 custom 22 sapphire 10 top a few days ago.
I have to say. After years I had finally gotten a Gibson Les Paul which I had dreamed for since I was a kid. Played the hell out of it and understood why some guitars demand a higher price tag. Now that dream Les Paul feels tame next to what I get from my PRS.
I'm selling a bunch of my older guitars to get a Silver Sky
Most beautiful Guitars, best sounding, and the QUALITY is 2nd to none. IMO
@@daviddarko2665 second to Tom Anderson and Suhr without a doubt..
We made the video at 5:57!!! It was a pleasure to meet you Tim! Thanks so much for taking the time to come out to MD and share your gifts with us. Wishing you continued success.

I’m a professional forester, Paul is exactly correct; very impressive knowledge base.
Mr. Smith, I believe I speak for many other people when I say it is time for Mr. Pierce to have his own signature guitar. If Prs will made a Tim Pierce Signature SE , I'll buy it!
PRS has never really done it for me BUT this is rad. Great job guys! Thanks.
You’re So Good, I wish every city and small town had a Tim Pierce as an Instructor... Rock Steady TP!!!
I cant express enough what a privilege it is to watch your channel. I would have loved to go to PRS but alas my car wouldn't make it. But now I know what it is like in PRS. Thank you Tim.
Thanks for sharing Tim. You have such a cool attitude and you are second to none on the guitar.
Thanks for the mention!! Great to see you my friend :)
This is more than cool, Tim! Thanks for taking us with you! Must have been a crazy experience!!
This video is ridiculous where do I even start? The insane guitars, Hendrix's amp, everyone's playing, the vibe in the factory, the wood vault? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH my head just exploded. Back to my work bench I'm inspired.
Saw you there, it was a good time. I recommend it for anyone who wants to look at the build process of PRS.
Great video, man! I was there in 2010, with my shop, at the time. This is making me want to get back down there soon.
I'm very impressed w that A40E as well, its rare to find an acoustic that intonates that good above the 12th fret and rings like an open cord ....I want one !!!!

Tim thanks for your love of music and guitars. Your playing is so good. I love your style and tone.
There have only ever been a few guitars that physically take my breath away when I see them. But nearly every guitar showcased here did. I don't usually love a stained guitar, I much prefer paint. The PRS's are utterly amazing.
It take wonderful wood to amaze with stain. Paint is easier because you’re covering things up. I have a PRS 10 top and the looks amaze me daily.
Great video Tim! Love the behind the scenes!
That neck wood is very nice and tonal!!! Great stuff for Marimba keys!! Some of the nicest boards come from damaged or diseased trees. This would be a dream job for me!!

Glad I got to see you at Gearfest! Great time with you and PRS!
Wow, that acoustic resonance was incredible !
Thank you for sharing! Bought my first PRS today!
thanks Tim for this video I have a mccarty wood library 594 maybe some day I'll be able to save enough for your master class
So fun to pick your own wood. Got to do it when I worked for them. 🤘
Attention to detail....I love PRS guitars . Thanks for posting .
Wow that acoustic sound - astonishing!
love this video! Such a pleasure to see the inner workings of PRS. I want an expensive one!
Knocking on that neck blank rang like a bell. Incredible.
The acoustic sounded so harp like...just beautiful.
A Tim & Pete Guitar Show with Gerry Leonard would be so cool
Awesome event. Great performance! See you in 2020 at the Experience!!!
That's pretty awesome. I definitely hope to own a PRS guitar eventually, they are gorgeous.
Thank you for sharing Tim! Love your videos!

Great video! You have a pretty great life, man.

Hey I played that guitar the day i met you in norms. great guitar!!!
Will there be a lesson on your "Let's dance" playing? Sounds fantastic!! Would be also nice to see your whole performance on this day :) :):)
love the semi from Norm's that you have. 0.0
Thanks Tim for this experience
That neck wood sang!
That tone on the amp...wow!
Paul Reed Smith seems to be our modern day Leo & Les. Very very cool. Thanks for sharing this vid Tim- I’m inspired.✌🏻🎸🤘🏻
Looks like a fun event, thanks for sharing!
That acoustic was phenomenal. So what are you having built?
9 guitars and I dont own a PRS....maybe someday.. maybe. Just everytime I get enough money together to be able to afford one, theres a bunch of others I'd rather have first. But someday. Maybe. Thanks for the tour Tim.

Beautiful PRS Tim !
Great vid, thanks Tim. Love PRS!
the hat looks great Tim!
simply awesome..
When is your custom build going to be finished?
Awesome Tim!
Nice. Interesting... when we cross this video with the ones done by Phil McKnight and The Tone King, it seems like PRS next amp will be based on the Marshall from Hendrix. My 2¢ guess ;j
Well, I was right, the new PRS HDRX amp has been released
Tds são lindas imagino o som desas linda guitarras
Great Blog Tim !!
Be still my heart, oh that hendrix amp !
Is there a cooler guy than Paul Reed Smith. He seems so damn awesome. Can wait to hear/ see it.
Eric Carpenter ? Really ? 😂 yea definitely a cool guy. Not. He makes his guitars correctly but far from cool. Odd, yes.
This looks like an awesome event.
Paul has a really good band as well.
Hey. I heard a Pete thorn bendy lick, Tim??? 🤔
Merci !!!
Very cool!
Im sitting down, can you share what the general public pays for a select wood instrument like this please ?
Awesome PRS!
3:50 "...and here's where he pulled mine" sounds like Tim and the Larry David dude had a good time
I have 4 and want 4 more!
This video should come with a "Drool Alert". Thanks for sharing. Just wow!
What a cool guy!
Stop it Tim!,you're just too good.
Judging by the size of the wood blanks it looks like PRS uses one piece bodies for their Private Stock and core models. I've always read that this is an inferior method because one piece bodies are prone to warp.
There Is a heaven, guitar heaven.
That Marshall!!!
Must be nice to drop that much on a custom prs!
Cool guitarist at 11:00
THE WOOD PARADISE! ROCKN ROLLY!
Crazy how it immediately sounds like Hendrix when you're playing through that amp!
Yes, and Tim is soo lucky to be able to say he played through it. cool stuff!
Way cool.
jump to 5:22 for the secret 😒
A very different approach to customer service than Gibson.
Fuck! Those pieces of wood are ringing like musical instruments even if they're not turned into guitars yet. Ahhh. Once I get a job and able to save up, I'm gonna buy myself a PRS guitar.
Please don’t put your camera lens on fisheye mode. It distorts the image too much
11:45
12:00 Sounds like Hendrix
Who else thought they got a text at 2:11?
I don't care how good you can play, it's got to be a little unnerving to have Tim Pierce filming you...in a good way, of course...
So much to choose. So little time (and money) :-)
i hope Gibson is watching this....

George Hale why did you not like PRS?

“If you can dream it we can build it.”
I dream of an extra wide neck guitar-unfortunately they don't do?
If you're willing to pay Private Stock prices they'll happily work with you.
