Di, this was amazing. I could listen to your knowledge all day. So impressive. You should do a series on U-tube with Sheila. Every knitter should understand tension, blocking and using the yarn that enhances your project. I learned from yourself and it takes knitting from a craft to a tailored garment. Love the variegated yarn and can’t wait for the new design.
You are absolutely right, Suzanne, Di Gilpin interview was a fantastic gift. Thank you, Suzanne and thank you Di. One has to go back periodically and review it.
Thank you Suzanne! Di is so inspiring, and this interview fed my love of traditional knitting. How I'd love to get a set of the long DPNs and a knitting belt. I think I'd enjoy knitting in that manner. Thank you!!
Love this video. Di, your designs are amazing. Love the idea of the knitting retreat too, and really enjoyed your enormous amount of knitting knowledge ...Suzanne, thank you for making these great videos and bringing the most amazing guests...always thumbs up...
Thank you for this wonderful interview. Such a depth of knowledge, experience and creativity. I'm overwhelmed by her. Suzanne, your interviews are a pleasure.
Such an interesting and informative chat with show and tell! I completely agree that it's worth investing in the best yarn for every project. Thank you, Di, for sharing your design processes. So interesting and inspiring! You are truly gifted, talented and skilled. I look forward to the new book with more knitting history.
I am seaming my Di Gilpin CARRINGTON. The LYS in GOL, Norway is going to display it in their shop. I bought my lockdown supplies there. She has also asked me to write down what techniques I have used: provisional cast on, 3 needle bind off, mattress stitch.... EVERYTHING I have gleaned from your TH-cam videos Suzanne, I will certainly mention your TH-cam channels. she gets a lot of knitters coming in for advice.
Well, Suzanne, another awesome guest! When you asked Di how she finds the time to do all that she does, my immediate response was, she 'lives' it__she IS that! I am DEFINITELY checking out her website and Ravelry pages! Interestingly, MY favorite is the leggings she designed for the fashion show__I'm 'out there' when it comes to fashion (even though I haven't dressed that way for years), I gravitate toward the 'unusual'! My direction is to knit leggings/pants, skirts/dresses, and the craziest idea, undergarments! 😱😳 I'm hoping I can acquire a few patterns in at least a few of those categories on her website or Ravelry! I spyed a few garments when you parused her web page! 😻 Di affirmed the way I feel when she mentioned how her 'Auntie' taught her to seek out the best products/supplies__if you're investing your time and talents in creating a beautiful piece of art, why not use the best?! 💎 What a fascinating personality__it would be lovely to meet her one day. 🙏😇🌱🌿🌻🐝🍓🌳🌎💖🙌🙌🙌😺
Bought Arabesque about 4 years ago, yarn I had did not work out, maybe I need to revisit this pattern then eek saw Brooklyn Bomber jacket then Oak, oooh noooo
Hi, from SoCal! Why isn't this live? It's 2:05pm PT and the video says it was livestreamed 2 hrs. ago!(?) And there's no live chat available. Bummer! 😳 🙌🙌🙌😺
I just really enjoyed this interview and thought it was so interesting to see that she knits using those long needles. Also, I was so glad to hear that she describes herself as such a slow knitter. This was just fabulous. Totally. Di Gilpin knitting...found this video....th-cam.com/video/04LpAww_mSg/w-d-xo.html

Sorry, due to time differences, I had to start early. I am so glad you got a chance to watch it.

What is the name of the book she said that was her favorite?
You can look in the time stamps for when she mentions them and then review that little section of the video. Happy knitting.
