I went to bolivar island yesterday I cough a few , this was my first time salt water fishing so no experience at all…I would trow my shrimp and something would eat it fast !!! 5-10 seconds and the shrimps was gone leaving the shell on the hook!!! What was I doing wrong? Was it trouts eating it or what ???? They wouldn’t even pull my line !
I use the Shimano Sparrow the 10,000 it's a Workhorse the bad boy can go up against anything Jack's Reds sharks. Strong. Nice setup bro 👌 trout was a stud my boy
I get in through the Texas city dike road. Once you come up in the hill we’re the stop sign is at turn left and drive all the way to the end of the sky line road.

I went out there yesterday trying to catch something but the current was fast due to tide and the wind was ripping so no luck.

I’ve never been to the flood gate, is it consistently good? Also what species does it mainly hold.
Man honestly, that place can be a hit or miss but when you do hit it’s a BIG hit! But you can catch jacks in time big trouts slot reds and bulls.
