seeing a player find a regular candle, only for it to turn into some over the top, overdecorated variant when they pick it up would ruin doors' immersion which it has successfully kept for years and I really wish cosmetics don't make it to the game
well yeah I could see why you'd think that but based on the leaks most of the candle reskins appear to be just soft gradients so I don't think it would ruin the atmosphere too much. Also, there are plenty of parts in Doors which could be considered as "Ruining the immersion". For one, the default avatar for when your player character doesn't load in looks really derpy and silly. Additionally, the many paintings around the maps are literally memes from the internet. Furthermore, entities such as El Goblino don't really seem that scary at all even though Doors is a horror game. The point is its ok to step out of the boundaries of horror a little and Doors already does this. But yeah, if the item reskins are really goofy then that could ruin the immersion
What is interesting is that vial of starlight used to be named “vitaminvipskin”, so the whole vip thing is probably a way to troll, or atleast it wont be for robux
Practically knobs could be used to buy new items for the pre run shop. Such as buying an upgraded flashlight that replaces the one in the shop or being able to but the vials or star light instead of vitamins
the first april fools badge could give a jeff the killer knife crucifix skin, and it just levitates and stabs the entities instead of the normal animation. and then the second april fools badge could give you a flashlight skin that makes it look like the basic roblox flashlight.
I like how knobs are used as the currency, when handles are used when opening doors. Anyways some cosmetic items would be cool, but it would appear as default if not in any plays inventory. I think a cool idea would be the retro flashlight, only available from 2024 april fools. U could equip it in lobby (also i think u would need to beat game once to access any of these just like modifiers)
I see it a good addition to change an item's skin. It has a cool transformation when you hold it because it could transform from normal to whatever. As long as it doesn't have any advantages it's a good addition
There could be entity skins like if you got the stay out of my way badge you would get a sad rush and if you go unbound you would get an angry ambush and so on
@@DontLookAtMyDesc maybe just 1 revive for a large amount of knobs so poor people can still use revives for really difficult challenges if they work real hard, but most people will still just buy their revives
I feel like a cool thing knobs should be useful for is powerups. Poweruos can be purchased from the shop tab in the lobby and only can be used once is a run. Heres some powers Usasin Bolt - Gives you 80% speed boost for 5 seconds - 250 knobs (cannot be stacked) Forceful Grab - Can grab a extra item in you already have 3/3 (basically if you have 3 vitamins you can grab a extra one with it.) it can also stack non stackable items. (Cannot be stacked) - 500 knobs Religionus Ways - Gives you a crucifix. - 1000 knobs Kardin Hong - reveals where everything is for 10 seconds - 350 knobs
@ChezmanCheddarBalls it would be an extremely cool feature to add a crucifix to the pre-run shop. if LSPLASH actually adds the crucifix to the prs, I feel like more noobs to doors would play. but it would be like 1250 knobs.. tho noobs would love the

Ikr but the devs will lose alot of profit due to most people spending robux on revives
