Vision counters Ultron very well. You ability block before he can summon with his dive and clear his buffs before he ults so he doesn't snowball by getting energy as he has no buffs.
If you wanna have the most amount of fun with Ultron, put him on a full Villain Tech Team with Korath, Crossbones, Merc Lt and Minn-Erva. Kree Cyborg or Mysterio also work very well

T4 mats on his ultimate ability he almost always hits for 100k+ I felt and acted the same way you are when I first got my Ultron about 10 days ago. When you get him to tier 13 and T4 mats on him it's even more fun. Also an easy way to counter Ultron is to disrupt him with Magneto.
Honestly, I kinda like the fact that Ultron is so incredibly overpowered. Its nice to have like an endgame goal. Speaking as someone who mains a game based on a franchise that rhymes with "Bar Floors". It really seems worth the time and effort to go for him!

Ultron still has an impact on me on fighting him twice now..one from first run of ETD, and then the second run of it again for a timed run. Now I gotta do the next phase...well, once I grind up some orange gear mats and then give them to 5+ specific characters of choice before taking on 'FEAR THE DARKNESS.' Its gonna be a living hell for me... Thank god I saw that Ultron cannot revive if he's not at full health after the last fight or so.
Speaking of countering Ultron, Falcon is perfect for this especially if you wait until his 2nd turn to use his special, and then using his ultimate. All the minions with buffs will overflow your turn meter for extra attacks before the enemy can go again. Congrats on your unlock!

I have enough uniques to gear 13 up to 10 different characters rn. Minnerva and Groot would not be included in that though as I don’t have enough for either of them yet. Do you recommend getting started as early as possible and grinding it out or holding orange gear for the right pieces for FTD?
Try an all villains tech team. Ultron, minn-erva, korath, nebula and vulture. You could use xbones aswell. It's fun in raids seeing how the effects just stack and stack with Ultron passive ability

I have 2 g13 teams. I passed on Minerva bc I only had her 4 star and I don't like gearing unless it's 5 star at least. It takes me a week to do 1 node in ftd. Been stuck on level 10 for a couple weeks. Get Minerva

Try Ultron with Spider man. Defense down is a powerfull ally for him. The ult using on an enemy with defense up and defense down is the most overpowered ability you can have.
I cant get any superior items for my rocket starlord and vision, my minerva is tier 11, I refreshed the supply store using over 1000 power cores, will I be better off just using my war credits on the orbs openings, I'm a free to play player as well, any tip would be helpful, been stuck for like 3 months at gear tier 12 for these 3 characters!🙏
Yep. I find that if you can keep Punisher under control beating Defenders teams becomes pretty easy. His counterattacks on Daredevil damage are what make that team dangerous. After him, just focus on Iron Fist and one should be golden. I run a Tech/Controller team specifically to prey on Defenders teams (Vision, Crossbones, Ant Man, Wasp, and I tossed Punisher in there as well for a closer; you need the raw damage to drop the opponent's Punisher and Iron Fist quick but Minn-Erva or even Rocket will work as well and perhaps better depending on gearing since they have the tech tag too). If between stuns and damage you can keep Punisher from getting off his Ultimate (pretty easy actually), then that is 3/4ths of the battle right there.
Ultron is the best character in Marvel's S.T.R.I.K.E. Force, for now. One day they will have to add Atom Warlock, Dr. Doom, Hela, Mephesto, or the Silver Surfer, and then Ultron will undoubtly be dethroned.

Elie Kass depends on who you have. I’ve heard that the Magneto/Juggs combo can work if you target ultron first. But for most team comps, probably don’t want to go after Ultron first. I didn’t, and it took my 3-4 attempts to clear the node. But once his is down, it’s much simpler.

Polaristic Sea Bear I used a Fury Shield team (with Trooper, not operative) and one shotted most ETD nodes. I have T4 is the following passives: Fury, Medic, Assault, Trooper. Don’t underestimate Trooper. There were a lot of nodes with tanks keeping me from attacking key enemies but Trooper always did a ton of damage to them when they shot near him.
idk why i feel that you are underestimating ultron's power in this game. i didn't unlock him my self but, i wouldn't be afraid facing guardians with him. maybe im wrong.

For FTD rocket is way better, magneto is useless as he has high cooldowns
