I would suggest lightly starching the scarf and ironing it before you cut. It made it much easier to work with. Thanks for the great idea. Mine turned out great!
Thanks for being so descriptive and then visual. I just watched a tutorial yesterday and you had to guess where you wanted the arm seams to go. That may be ok if you have made one before or if you sew regularly, but for beginners and infrequent sewers you need the measurements. So again thank you and for giving my scarves new life. I was really thinking about getting rid of them.🙋😁
OMG thank you So much for this tutorial! I have tried using lots of other tutorials but yours always turns up so much better! I have made so many kimonos for family and friends as they are such perfect easy and cute gifts!
I have quit a collection of these. I like them so much and can't get enough of them. I"m so happy you posted this video tutorial thank you very much for sharing. Can't wait to get started.
I was just thinking about sewing some kimonos. Using scarves is a much easier way. I always like your sewing tutorials. Would love to see some new ones please.
What cool idea! Thanks for sharing and yes please make more sewing tutorials. I'm just getting into sewing and it would be nice to learn how to make cute things. Have a wonderful day. 😊
I love your demonstration and how to make it come on up it’s a very simple pattern I’m gonna make a few for this summer then I can wear them even all year round
This is lovely. I got a couple of scarves from a charity shop to try it out as I wasn't confident about my sewing skills, but it worked great so I will be upcycling some of my other scarves now.
I've had a scarf with an amazing print on it for a long time but when I wore it you could see it. I just mad this cardigan and it came out perfect. Now I and everyone else can see how pretty it is. Thank you so much!!!
Very pretty! To be totally honest I can’t sew a button on! I can cook, clean and do other stuff but that is one thing I can’t do is sew. I think it takes a talent to do that and I really admire people who can. Thanks for sharing!
Perfect timing... Just sorting some silk scarves I've barely worn. Will be making some of these for myself and friends. Thank you... Keep the tips coming!
I am definitely giving this a try! I have so many scarves that it would be great to do this with a couple of them. And yes please...do more sewing tutorials!
Thank you! This is great! Your tutorial is excellent! My attempt at this will be using a Spanish scarf or Manila scarf (mantilla) that my mom bought in Spain a long time ago and no one has ever worn it because it has been impractical. This will make it practical to wear an amazingly beautiful piece of art wear!
thank you for this! been trying to find a pattern like this for about a week now. I was using the wrong search string. your's finally popped up for me!
I love love love this and I plan to try it. I just bought a Kimono. I love them but have not been able to find one that fit me due to being so short. This is great because I have so many scarfs. Thanks
