I thank you explaining albo variegation. I get tired of people asking about their plant reverting and the flood of “add more light for more variegation” comments. When the growth is coming from a noticeably green area of the node
What does your cutting look like now? How is the mother plant? It’s so gorgeous! I would like to purchase a cutting if one is available 😊

I had read that with Albos it’s a good idea to keep the node above the substrate (at least initially) but I was using an acrylic stake and zip tie to keep everything on the up and up. This approach is ideal for water propagating but the sphagnum moss/tape approach might be just faster/better overall 🤔
I love growing rooted Monstera in LECA but I tend to grow roots out in water first. I wonder if the moss method would be less ideal with when the intention is to transfer to LECA? Any experience going from moss to LECA?

Thank you for showing me how to chop up the albo! I didn't think about the location of the bud and therefore how much variegation there might be. I was wondering, how do you find the leaf sizing after chopping? Do they go small again? I'd love to get some bigger leaves on mine but it's only on it's 9th leaf so I might be being too eager?
Your welcome :) you can expect for the leaves to be smaller at the beginning after a chop. To increase leaf size get it on a pole and make sure the aerial roots are rooting inside. Should help to size it up.

Do you find that no matter what-that without air layering the var. monstera pre cut-that a lot Rot? I find no matter what if I cut before I air layer, I loose tons of props
Not really, it’s always a good thing to air layer before chopping as it’s a good head start but I find as long as the ends are well calloused they don’t usually rot. Making sure your scissors or shears are sterilized before cutting helps too. You could also add cinnamon to the ends!
I done the same of my monstera Thai constellation 3 days ago in i put in the water is that safe or not please help me because i buy that alot of money in i dont want to loss i have the one small in the pots the mom

You bet :) once they’re nicely rooted they will be available up in the shop (minus the top cutting of the aurea)
