All you have to do is place the Jeep next to the the ML class Mercedes and look under at the chassis. It is the same product. That is why the Jeep is such a quality product. The interiors are really gorgeous and much better than Jeeps in the past. and quality is also much better. Resale is going to be a problem. If this were a Toyota product it would hold its value for a long time. The 4 Runner is a vehicle with close to zero problems and hold its value over many years. The Jeep gets a bad rap because the name plate doesn't have the same prestige but the resale issue will be a huge problem.

In Canada, they start at 106k that not including the special tax we got in Quebec for cars over 30k so let's say 5k 110k before taxes then add Federal and provincial taxes 5% and Quebec which is 9.9% tax comes out to 121873.50$ lol for the base model then add more % for financing for 8 years.... and now gas prices are higher basically not your average buyer can afford it. I've had 3 Jeep Wranglers my sister has the Cherokee Trailhawk my brother-in-law has a ram 1500 and we've had nothing but problems. they've been in the shop more than anything. my sister's Trailhawk is a 2016 it's already had the transmission replaced once and it was also shutting off randomly driving down the road they replaced some electronic crap to fix it. my brother-in-law's 2014 Ram 1500 has had the rear end replaced the AC pump replaced and it's already starting to rust and he puts only nine thousand miles a year on it because he has a company fire work truck to drive everyday, and both vehicles are garage kept and they're always cleaned and maintained well. my last Jeep Wrangler 2013 too many engine issues

If this jeep cam out in 2016 it would be a great competitor and seller, now its late in the market and after a year or so the new X5m, cayenne turbo and Gle63 are coming and this jeep will be like an srt charger compared to an m5, e63s
Honestly had debated getting one but my wk2 srt still makes me happy, and for that price point I could just go single turbo from admotorsportz and run 10's. I like like the new interior though, minus the carbon trim (as mine came off after 20k miles). For those saying reliability sucks I'm not sure about the 6.2 but my 6.4 has almost 80k on it, most of which are towing actually, and the only issue I had was my rack and pinion begin to leak. Just going with a mk7 golf R instead with apr stg3 and will hit 10's with 30mpg and then I can still tow it with my srt and get 8mpg on premium haha.
they missed it on the price point but they may not have had a choice. They should have shifted the SRT8 lower and then pinned this at 92k. Hopefully this one has less issues than the SRT8 #fingerscrossed

It's time for them to completely redesigned that truck
It's a really neat vehicle, but at the same time it's idiotic. A high performance SUV? Makes about as much sense as a 4x4 off-road capable sports car. What's the point? If you're going to spend $100k on a vehicle and want something track-worthy, an SUV is about as far from ideal as you can get. If you're just going to be driving it on the street, 700hp is a complete waste. You're just chugging more gas driving in traffic. POINTLESS.
