Hey Samra! Made Haleem today in my Ninja Foodi using your recipe and it turned out amazing! I think the Haldi tip was a good idea too. Thanks a lot for explaining it in such an easy way. PS: I used air fried onions and enjoyed it guilt free ;).
I'm doing this recipe for the second time tonight! Just wanted to comment that it's largely foolproof and makes great haleem 😁 My husband loves it, I'm a novice cook and this turned out really well. I've subscribed, thanks for the wonderful video Samra!
Hello Rabiya, This recipe is for Instant Pot or any multi-function cooker. You could use pressure cooker and it may still work. For normal pan, you will need more cups of water and it will take 4-5 hours on low heat to make the meat and lentils/grains tender.
Shan Special Shahi haleem mix. Rinse and soak daals from the packet for half hour. Put ip on saute mode 15 minutes. Put 1 cup oil in Ip. Bhoon the beef 5 minutes. Add 2 tbsp gg paste. Bhoon more . Add shan haleem masala and mix. Add 2 tbsp yogurt. Add in fried onion (1 onion worth). Add in the soaked daal. Add in 1 bowl instant oats and mix. Add in 6 cups boiling water. Put in about 1/2 tsp haldi for good color. Put lid on Cancel saute Multigrain mode 30 minutes Vent should be closed (up) At 30 minutes open vent. When it releases open lid. Beef will be soft cubes. Get a hand blender and blend the beef directly in IP. Tarka: 1 white onion in slices, fry, and pour this oil on top. Have lemon ginger cilantro for garnish on side.
Very nice, I always use Shan easy cook haleem, this time husband brought this one by mistake thank God I watched this video. Only question that if I’m making in normal pot then these daal will take lot of time or one hour ?
Great recipe, thank you. I’ll definitely try it. Please may I made a suggestion? Could you leave out the background music. It is very distracting when one is trying to hear your instructions. The videos will work perfectly with just your voice and the cooking sounds.

I was wondering for how long we should put it on multigrain in case of chicken?
For chicken you can do 20 min on multigrain setting.
Our go to Haleem recipe everytime!!
Thanks.
How do you make it thicker? Can I add more oats without compromising on the flavor?
Thanks for this simple recipe, will definitely try it. Do you have any more instant pot recipes please? I have been given one as a present recently and have no idea about desi recipes for it.
Yes I will try to put more recipes soon. Thanks.

Always use this for the tastiest haleem.

Why my haleem kept on sticking at the bottom even though I added enough water. The smart pot says burnt
when you say 1 bowl of oats, is it small or big bowl? can you tell an estimate measurement? is it equal to 1 cup or 2 cups???
Mashallah!!! Loving it!

love your channel! you have almost all of my favorite recipes on here. yumm😋
Wow, thank you!
Can we replace instant pot with normal silver daigchees?
Yes you can. The procedure is same but it takes longer.

Do we need to soak oats before making them ?
No. I have used dry instant oats.
I have a question. If I am cooking in a normal pot, shall I cook the daals and meat separately before adding or add everything altogether
Hello Rabiya, This recipe is for Instant Pot or any multi-function cooker. You could use pressure cooker and it may still work. For normal pan, you will need more cups of water and it will take 4-5 hours on low heat to make the meat and lentils/grains tender.
Yummmm Samraaa!!

I make almost the same way. Is there a reason you have used Yoghurt and Fried Onions while bhooning the beef?
Next time try with my recipe and let me know if you like it 😀

Hey Samra! For how long should I cook this for if I’m making it with chicken thighs?
It will be less , I think 15 mins x
Okay thank you ❤️
Very nice, I always use Shan easy cook haleem, this time husband brought this one by mistake thank God I watched this video. Only question that if I’m making in normal pot then these daal will take lot of time or one hour ?
Thanks. I pressure cooked Haleem in the Instant Pot but if you use a normal pot then it will take longer.
How many servings does this make?
This recipe/quantity serves about 6-8 people.
@@CookinstylewithSamra thank you for responding! I want to try this tomorrow for 10 people. Would you recommend I use 2 boxes instead of 1?
@@SabikeBeauty I don't think you need to add more than 1 box and it may be fine for 10 ppl. You can make another dish. Check out my other recipes.
👌👍
Can you please upload this TH-cam video with English subtitles OR in English language
Great recipe, thank you. I’ll definitely try it. Please may I made a suggestion? Could you leave out the background music. It is very distracting when one is trying to hear your instructions. The videos will work perfectly with just your voice and the cooking sounds.
Thanks for your feedback. I will try to reduce the volume next time.
