That looked like a lot more water than 2.5 cups. My main question was that the recipe in the box calls for 12 cups of water but that probably needs to be reduced a lot in a pressure cooker. So how much water should really be used.

I got a burn notice when I turned the pressure cook on. I think my lentils has settled at the bottom of the pot and caused this. How long should I be waiting before turning off the sauté mode and turning on the pressure cook mode? Could it be that this happened because the heating element was too hot?
Deglaze the bottom of the pot with a little water after cooking the chicken and onion. Then add the rest of the water and daal packet. Should help to not get a burn notice.

Even with the saute mode you have to check it periodically. I think the issue here it was left in that mode for too long.

I cleaned the pot as well and I still got the burn sign. Twice. Whyyy
