In Korea, the dance moves of "smart" are not controversial at all.
I think foreigners outside of Korea are rather creating these controversies.
I think the country of people who cause this controversy is conservative or people who are ignorant of K-pop.
Koreans have already experienced controversy over the sensationalism of the first and second generation K-pop girl groups long ago, and now they have matured their view of pop culture.
ex) 15 years ago, girl group KARA's song "Mister" was controversial because of their hip dancing. But it became the biggest hit of the year.

Park Soyeon is their performance director and main choreographer since their debut.
Yunjin co-wrote Smart.
Yunjin, Chaewon, Kazuha and Sakura co-wrote Swan Song.
Yunjin and Eunchae co-wrote We go so much.
The better translation for that line in "We got so much" would be something like "we don't take for granted". They even said in interviews that it's the meaning is that they don't take fearnot love for granted. Just a little fun fact.. in Korean, fearnot is pronounced as "pianot" which literally means bloom. So in the song they are literally singing about how fearnot and Le Serafim love make each other bloom like flowers. It's such a beautiful song they wrote for us. Really heartwarming.

nah kpop stans (especially sm and yg stans) are the one making it controversial, they just hate successful hybe idols that much, cuz tell me no one bat an eye at NMIXX with minor humping the floor and IVE also with minor doing choreo that sexy.. theese haters are just performative and hypocrites..
