I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.

Kazuha is a soloist ballerina with 15 years experience

#2 - Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow
#3 - Royal Ballet School in the UK
#4 - Dutch National Ballet Academy in the Netherlands
Had won countless ballet competition internationally & locally before becoming a member of Le Sserafim's

not only that she stop ballet just bcs she want the change. Most idol we know stop being atlet or other field bcs injury or that they not an ace (any idols ballerina never had achievement in that field. They just had the experience dancing ballet). But no, she's perfectly fine, she achieve so many medals, she's really young and there is still big thing ahead of her as a ballerina. Also, If not for covid she must have going to more competitions internationally bcs she really just train when covid happens for so long, all her medals were made before covid and she's only 18 when she's in le sserafim. Maybe that waa also the time where she considering her dreams and Hybe hapen to scout talent internasionally, maybe she feels like it's fate and just like "fked it. Let's actually do this" @@azmi8790
I agree about Kazuha. I love that they always incorporate her ballet skills/ her being a ballerina. It's beautiful and it's not like it's out of place or anything, so why hide right?
agree with Kazuha's improvements! i also saw those comments about how the ballerina moves are "overused" for Kazuha and i was like DUH! she is a legit ballerina why not show it especially on a song called "Swan Song". we applaud idols who showcase their training/"specialties" like hiphop, contemporary or even b-boying, but not the ballerina?? 🤦♀

ballet is hard, if it's not bcs of covid and the offer from hybe she's might be a professional ballerina atm (she's almost there if i remember correctly) so SHE'S SO DESERVING TO FLEX THAT FLEX.

She got a lot of opportunity to be a principle dancer for various known ballet choreographers: Jace Przybylowicz’ ‘Pa Quita’ and ‘Fragment’ and Rudi van Dantzig’s ‘Romeo and Juliet.’ But her competition is really tough and they are her best friends that she competed with for years and her classmates on various ballet schools from Netherlands, Russia, etc.
I think her strength lies with her positivity. It's a mix of natural talent and hard-working skills as well. She always never gives up and she gets the drive to improve. I think it's evident due to her fast developments with her dance skills, but one notable thing as well is her significant improvement with her singing because she is one of the few members in Le Sserafim that is being given both notes from low range and high pitch consistently and producers are not afraid to give her lines.
According to people, Smart has influences from Afrobeats and South African Amapiano. Take songs like Water by Tyla, Woman by Doja Cat and Calm Down by Rema.

I've been watching reactions to le sserafim's latest comeback since yesterday because people on twitter just never stop being mean to the point I thought "is this comeback /that/ bad?" just too much negativity there. I'm glad I found this reaction because I do agree with some points you made especially the part where you said it's a good thing that Kazuha's ballet skill is CONSISTENTLY shown and became something like a signature of this group and added competitiveness. I usually really love it every time I can see someone's parts of life before I know them, love how they bring it with them and never forget where they came from. I think that's what I love about le sserafim in general. They never erase their past and always remember that it was what made them themselves today.

On a different reaction video to the same performance I saw a person commenting on the style of Smart as not being inherently sexual or anything (both song and matching dance) and that people seeing it as that is weird to most people of the region of origin. But since I myself am also not from that region I can't deny that it made me blush as well. :D
