Wonderful tries, that 1994 try v New Zealand is known here, as the try from the end of the world. That was the last time we lost at Eden Park. Magnificent try thanks
During the last 30 years there have been great French teams and average French teams yet they were all capable of producing such magically creative and skillful tries ever. Respect pour le Bleus
30 years... Maybe more... Yes. Beautiful skills, game and matches... But we (i'm french), never won a World Cup... Well... 1995 world cup final... South-Africa.... The most suspicious game and judgement from a referee... I'm conviced that SA "had to win" this cup... Political reasons... French have been stollen.... Of course, it's only my opinion... But.... three or four (don't remember) crushed "mélées" in front of the line.... The referee always found SA guilties, giving back the ball to french... But never... Ever... A penalty try.... This day, french have been stollen for political reasons... For sure... Mandela was in the stadium.... SA had to win the RWC....
He’d have been that good in any era. His last act in rugby was a touch line conversion against wales that he drilled between the uprights. How many conversions had he taken in his 20 year rugby career? Zero

Oh, there's a memory in me of seeing me sitting quietly on my sofa, starting to straighten up and ending up yelling like a madman. "Allez les petits"(Come on little ones). (Surely a trauma of youth)🤔
I played outside centre to a decent standard as a younger man and I played in France for a couple of months, I played in pre season friendly (!!!) against Biarritz, Serge Blanco strolled onto the pitch still smoking a cigarette, after five minutes I was drifting across in defence and had Blanco lined up for a tackle into touch, I never spotted his change of pace and I was left flat on the ground having attempted to tackle fresh air! Quite simply the most balanced runner with almost balletic grace in his movements and an incredible rugby brain, it was an honour to be on the same pitch as him
@@crispybug I played against Lagisquet and Sella when I was a "cadet" and "junior", I played inside center. You soon feel there's something else on the field...
You know those ads during the 6 Nations coverage on ITV where they use editing to make a player look like they have a Mario Kart style speed boost as they run in for a try. Dupont at 1:03 😃
I have been sat here just shaking my head and saying wow..... respect from Wales.
As an Englishman, i have one word for this....Magnifique
Fun to see 2 Penaud representations decades apart.
And two Ntamack,
@@ViveLaColoniale Might be 3 very soon!

the French have this creativity that you can't find anywhere else, it's really a treat to watch.

We miss Christophe Dominici.
What a joy it is to watch the French in full flow. Every rugby players dream is to run and pass the ball like that. Amazing!
Serge Blanco what a player.

Fofana was just scarily good at times for Clermont and France! Always imagine commentator Eddie Butler saying his name too.
Grand merci de France ami Irlandais
Et bravo pour le grand Chelem 2023
Thanks
From France
I read in the comments about so many great players. But nobody wrote a line (if I read properly) about Olivier Magne. What a player!
Ntamack and Penaud... But here we speak about Emile and Alain 🙂
Somehow we all knew which tries were coming for 91 and 94! Cool vid!
Always a shame the first few seconds of 91 didn’t get picked upn
Houoursble mentions to any number of brilliant long range tries from the 1999 RWC semi final!!
L'essai de 1994, magnifique
The try from the end of the world ! 😉
Wesley Fofana was unreal
I miss him, like virimi

When you play against or with international class players you quickly notice the difference between them and you!
So many slick tries
1994!!!!!!! Try from the end of the world

C'est clair ! On est les plus forts et les plus beaux ! 😉
Non, quand même pas, il faut rester humble, mais on doit se rapprocher de la perfection je pense😉😁
Evolution in recent years: those tries are made against Ireland an not Italy
Have you or can you do a Barbarians or/and a Lions version please, with cherry on top
1991, best try of all time
et à la fin qui a gagné le tournoi ?
Apparently in 1992 and 1993 France didn't manage to score a try from outside the 22.........

Wales and Italy got ripped apart big time through the years
