The Tyson you see above had already significantly worsened from a technical / tactical point of view after 88, the year I fired Kevin Rooney.
@@Shovelhook Very true
This was no prime tyson gilbert . That era was before 89
@@fubarin8896 Safe to say then he wouldn't of hung in that long with a truly prime Mike.
@@gillywritescomics Sure about that and prime Mike didn't take so many unnessesary punches in his prime because of his movement and his sharpness
9:07 Referee: (thinking there'd be drama) It's over Mike, it's over
(Mike hugged Ruddock for a crazy match) Alright alright alright...
How can anyone hate this moment 😭🙌🏻🤣🔥
That part make me miss the school boxers
I can almost feel the impact of those punches, such amazing fighters!
Ruddock was a beast..underrated boxer with underrated chin..❤️
Mills lane a brilliant referee!
Didn't get too involved as long as the fight was moving along.
With the exception of a couple of fights Mike Tyson has always shown great sportsmanship to his opponent despite trash-talking before the fight...
Ruddocks secret weapon was that he was no way intimidated by Mike and he believed.
He just blocked all of mike Tyson’s shots with his face.
When you block with your face it leaves both hands for punching
Now that was a heavyweight bout! Miss those days when boxing 🥊 was da sh*t!
Now that's what I call a hard day at the office !
The old school boxing... Amazing fight.
Is nobody noticing how insanely good the video quality is for a fight over 20 years ago?
good enough
30 years
@@Lxdxgr It is legitimately 30 years now. Somehow remastered it to look way ahead of it's time.
@@overnightdelivery yeah
Ruddock was tough as. Total respect for him
Tyson in his beast mode, damn those body shots
A slamfest. I loved Lane saying "You guys knock that shit off!"
2 of the best heavy weight boxing matches i`ve ever seen.
Back when heavy weight does look like heavy weight.
Ruddock made it a tight fight for Tyson. The punch that took the mouth piece off from Tyson was amazing and never seen anyone doing that to Tyson.👆👆👌👌
Douglas? Holyfield? Lewis........
@@adrianmarrinan7707 weren't all of those after Ruddick and prison? Except Douglas
Lennox Lewis destroyed both 😂 😂
Lewis destroyed an over the hill Tyson. Tyson was not the same fighter
@@treadgold69 he was the same age as Lewis! But i love the way Tyson fans give him credit for beating Larry Holmes who was over the hill
RUDDOCK was a worthy Opponent that night. He earned Mike's respect after this.
overheads, uppercuts, hooks.... Tyson executes them perfectly! The most beautiful executioner, imo
Best heavyweight fight . straight gladiators✊🏿
Back when fights were fights
Mayweather track meets
T P canelo ggg 2 was war!!
We use to watch boxing then, Not Wilder who throw one punch per match,
Did you watch Fury v Wilder ?
@@johnnygreen200 that was a one sided beatdown. Not a brutal slugfest. Its just a generalization, of course there will be a few exceptions.
I've heard people say Tyson couldn't take a hard shot, enough said.
To be honest Tyson could never handle really Great Fighters. All Really Great Fighters he ever faced brutally knocked him out. Starting with Douglas who was only a really Good fighter.
@@Jesusislord3334 Tyson knocked buster douglas out he won that fight by that time it was like a pitbull who lost his fighting spirit tyson is best brawler hands down

Trevor Berbick weren’t great?
@@Jesusislord3334 So you are saying Holmes and Spinks werent good fighters

Ruddock was one mighty opponent.. this two hard hitters really pushed it to the limit.. great sportsmanship at the end..
Tyson was in trouble
Anyone that goes 12 rounds with Mike is a tough guy
Tyson was not in trouble. Did you not see Ruddocks face after the fight?
Anthony Campos ok got me
@@anthonycampos8057 yes but razor was a fighter with bad balance and position stands throughout his career Lennox Lewis destroy him easier Lol
"The hard hitting Donovan "Razor" Ruddock" - Yet Mike Tyson broke Ruddock's jaw in this fight. Damn.
12 rounds fight with Mike Tyson... That was amazing 💐💐👏🏻👏🏻
Who the hell is mighty mike Tyson . It was iron mike Tyson .
Yeah it was mighty Mike Tyson for a short time
😂😂😂
That Mighty didn't help his cause considering "Mighty Mouse" and Mike's voice.
I'm just glad Larry Merchant wasn't in this clip.
It was his other nickname due to the cartoon @ time "mightymouse".
Now if you here mighty mouse you think of backyard fighter/sex offender
It’s really weird to use “mighty” instead of “iron” for Mike Tyson. It just feels like a different boxer.

I agree
Yea mighty mike is a pass for me. Iron mike sounds right for his fighting style.
Fact I was surprised like when did they call him mighty?
Man I wish I was around back then. Sports entertainment was on another level. Now it’s bunch of bs & all about the money.
Do you know Jake paul??
Wow now this was a fight. BOTH Men Deserve Mad Respect 💯 2 heavyweights blasting each other with some powerful punches that a topical man would fold to. An Unstoppable Force Meets An Unmovable object. Tyson Ruddock 2🥊
One guy looks fresh, The other guy looks like he got hit by a car ..Tyson's chin was unbelievable in this fight!
This was the end for both these two. Tyson would be heading to prison soon after this fight and Ruddock was not the same after his two wars with Tyson
Ruddock looked in awesome shape than tyson here. can't believe how ?

Exactly. After this fight both fighter went downhill. This fight took away all the resistance from Ruddock and Tyson wasn't in love with boxing any more. In fact Tyson fought Ruddock because Holyfield dodged Ruddock at the last minute. Probably because Holyfield knew Ruddock had the skill sets to beat him over twelve rounds. Something Lennox Lewis exposed years later.
So much admiration for Ruddock but he seemed to have brought out the best in Tyson, in all respects of his arsenal

In the entire boxing history we know only two atomic punch. Elder is big George who had in his mlddle age title. Another is the spiritual son of Ali. Mr Atom weapon. Tyson.
This might be the best heavyweight fight in history or at least Mike Tyson's career
Ok
I agree it is the best fight in history

Never again will we see a fight like this. Trading these brutal power shots that would kill most men , this is very definition of disbelief. Boxing at its greatest dialed to 11. What else can I say other than legendary. 🥊
Razor Ruddock was BEAST in the early 90's
Glad to see Mike is training for a comeback fight even if it is only a exhibition fight I think it will be worth a watch 👊
wow, ruddock must be really tough 😱
Ageng Satya Ruddock was that tough back then.

Broken jaw, and yet he went the distance.
@@robertdevito5001 appreciate that info
Ruddocks trunks were high. All of those weren’t low blows. Guys were afraid of Tyson going to the body and purposely wore their trunks high. Great fight though. Ruddock could have been an all time great but he fell in love with his power and became a headhunter. He was a good boxer.
This is what heavyweight fighters and fights should look like. Exciting, full of power and skills in the middle of the ring toe to toe. Gone are those days, sad.
My favorite Fight till now much respect ♥
Gotta be one of the greatest fights, a little underated. Razor is resilient. Thanks for sharing. Put that on my playlist.
If we still watching these fights so hard,,it means current heavy Weights are doing bad
It's always heartwarming to see after such brutal beatings on both sides these men have so much emotional maturity to hug.
