Traditions make great memories. Sometimes I wish I had a time machine. It would be fun to experience some of them again, especially when the children were small. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the great information about your Christmas trees. Greetings from Germany. The german-Christmas favorite is Abies nordmanniana. But I would like to plant a few frasers. Otherwise it gets too boring over here! :)

We chose a white pine 🌲 it’s so soft and fragrant. Easy to add ornaments and doesn’t poke us.

I like it too, but I avoid using heavy ornaments. Thanks for watching.

Loved the Christmas tree information, especially needle retention. Need more on which tree is best to buy in a pit that can be planted after ... after ground thaws I guess. I have 3 acres and would like to lower road noise with some trees amongst the deciduous trees. Any Ideas?

I prefer the firs because the tend to have straight trunks, fewer disease problems and soft needles. The important things to remember if you have a live tree is that the time inside should be 2 weeks or less. You don't want it to break dormancy and whatever tree you want to plant, be sure you have the proper soils. Firs for instance like well drained soils like sandy loam not poorly drained clay.
