Btw wouldn't it be so chilling if when Aria was burying the body, she actually noticed Ali take a small breath for a brief moment, but instead of telling the others and helping her out of the "hole", she just intentionally ignored it and kept going? Perhaps it's too dark, but that reveal would've shown us that Aria had always been way darker than we initially thought. 🤭
Or! Emily did know and became A out of guilt and her love for Ali? She stayed being friends and kept their secret while also being A because she can’t cope with the guilt of what they did? Idk that just popped in my head. Lol I love your ideas
I genuinely believe that a mystery can still work even if you already know who the killer is from the start. It's really all about how the writer(s) execute the story leading up to the reveal that matters. So, *I LOVE the idea of the liars being involved in Alison's murder* and you just expressed why it would've worked perfectly! From the flashbacks giving us glimpses of the clique's dynamics and the motives that led them to their actions that night, the repercurssions of Ali's death in their lives, their relationships/plots with other characters, -A bullying them into confessing, the girls trying their hardest to keep Emily in the dark, like... there would've been so much to keep the fans engaged throughout the show. And yes, Cruel Summer was sooo good!
I always loved the little hints that the liars were responsible for Ali’s murder or had planned to kill her and murdered someone else instead bc they were unknowingly drugged by Alison the night they planned to get rid of her. There are some very interesting conversations between Hanna and Mona in seasons 4 and 5 that indicate they had a plan to murder Alison or Mona had killed Ali for Hanna in a similar way cece alluded to Alison at the Ice Ball that “Mona couldn’t hurt her anymore “. In the episode after they learn Ali is alive, “Who’s in the Box”, Hanna immediately sets the other girls in the Sara Harvey direction and is angry with Mona for some reason. When Mona says doesn’t understand why Hanna is mad at her, mona asks why hanna could be so mad at her after what she did for her. We are led to think this is about mona confessing to killing Wilden to get Ashley out of jail, but hanna says to Mona “that’s just it Mona, I don’t know if you even did it for me” and storms off. This is immediately after she learns that Mona knew Alison was alive the entire time and helped her leave town! Hanna has a flashback in season 5 in Mona’s bedroom where Mona tells her to stop hiding behind playing dumb bc Alison can’t hurt her anymore. This is when we learn how intelligent Hanna actually is and how Mona remade her into the new Alison. And then we have the dreams of Emily and Spencer attacking Alison that night or at least a girl who they believe was her bc of the drugs. My favorite is the tidbit from the little girls in the trailer park in the season 4 premiere, you can hear them say, “Alison, Alison, don’t be mad at Aria, it was Emily’s idea!” I always thought that meant that the girls played a part in the events of that night. I think the photos of Aria were to create the Vivian DarkBloom disguise and Hanna was helping Ali to create the masks and mode herself after Aria. That’s why Alison picked Aria bc she was going to be her “body double” of A tried to come for her the night she planned to leave. Hanna left Mona to do the murder but was pissed after she learned Mona never killed Alison and didn’t protect her from evil, which was Alison. Hanna’s flashback to the salon and the Vivian wig was a lie. If Ezra had met Alison as Vivian, it would explain why he targeted Aria bc she looked like Vivian/Ali. Ezra also had a weird relationship/interest in Jenna during the early seasons. And Jackie Molina was an adult version of Aria who got too old for Ezra’s taste.
i think another one could be alison herself. it would be a complete rewrite but she meant to fake her death and frame the liars only for the liars to bury her alive anyways and kill her
@@Missmagazinebura not necessarily, in the rewrite, depending how deep they buried her and how weak she was following, she may have suffocated before she got the chance.
Mona did it, here's how: Kind of like the books, Ali gets an 'A' text referencing the Lost Woods and she recognises the number. She finds Mona at the resort except there's one problem: A doesn't make mistakes. Smiling and giggling, she explains that she lured Ali there so that Ali could die knowing she was bested by Mona who she had so carelessly underestimated. She hits Ali over the head with none other than her own diary, not trying to kill her just knock her out with that 'A' poetic flare. She takes Ali back to her house and buries her alive knowingly because she loved knowing more about Ali's home than Ali did and now ever would, Ali would die knowing what it felt like to be alone, and also, well... you always gotta put your dolls back.
for the liars one: emily not being involved would also explain why the girls never talk about it amongst themselves. because they’re always alluding to secrets they have and whispering about them when it’s just the four of them, but if emily didn’t know then they wouldn’t be allowed to reference it whatsoever
Hey! Currently working overtime at work and this is wonderful content to get me through! Thank you so much for producing such great content! Have a lovely evening ✨
The Ezra and The Liars' theory is wayyyyyy too juicy, I kinda wish they did it one of both ways. We could get rid of the Alison's redemption arc and get this ❗❗❗ By the way, I can totally see Ezra being a killer. When you see the show as an adult, you realize the true enemy (with A too) is him. An adult using his position of power.
Interestedly enough, my guesses would’ve been… 1. Melissa 2. Peter Hastings 3. Noel here’s my theories.. (Melissa): it was obvious Alison was flirting with Ian, & Alison was slightly intimidated by Melissa because she couldn’t play minds games with her vs Spencer. Another reason Melissa ofc would protect Spencer in that defense since Alison knew dark secrets of their family history; and would’ve done anything to hold it against them if that meant tarnishing the “Hastings” picture perfect legacy. (Peter Hastings): Same as Melissa, Peter would do anything to keep his history intact and not tarnish his name. Alison knew that Jason was his son & threw slick comments. Even her own mother was timid around her. So what makes you think Peter wouldn’t do anything to keep his family away from the DeLaurentis? Plus he works in the law firm so that’s an easy cover-up to hide any evidence of DOA. (Noel): now Noel was an interesting character from the beginning. He was the bad boy who was up to no good; can charm you with his looks but had a hidden agenda behind everything. In which case very similar to Alison. What always made me wonder he could’ve possibly killed Alison is that Noel seemed to always be there whenever the girls were in some sort of trouble. Almost like he was in the background seeking in, maybe Alison knew more dirt in him & knowing Noel Alison was a snake ready to slither & bite whoever cornered her. I feel as though Noel was never meant to be lasted as part of the “A” villains but because of his actions they added him for more drama-staying alongside with Jenna doing all the dirty work.
It was the redemption arc, the redemption arc killed Allison DeLaurentis
OH EXACTLYYYYY
GJKFLGLIKLK 😭😭 SO TRUE QUEEN

truly ezra's anger is so scary throughout the show!! love the concept of this video, queen
Yeah Ezra knew Alison was alive but didn’t even tell the liars before they found out .

Yeah but Alison could still breath and crawl out herself

Maybe the liars did it as a fourth, with Emily. Alison rejected her in a embarrassing way and Emily flipped

lowk it always bothered me how A is caught in the books bc she made a mistake so I wanted to amend that lol plus it fits I think
I'm impressed!! Also that last part parallels the bullying a bit.
