    When we’ve gone there we stayed in the nearby town of Lucca, which is my wife and O’s favorite town in Italy.

    Looking at some older pictures, there's actually one final level at the very top where the roof is. Are visitors allowed to go up to that highest level? If not, then I wonder if that area will be opened again soon.

    Hello. Do you need to pay to see the Pisa tower close?

    What time of the day were you guys there? It's only April and it looks plenty crowded...😨

      Hi, We spent the entire day until around 3pm. It definitely gets crowded in the afternoon. Like any popular destination the morning is much better time to arrive. The ticket offices open at 9am so we would suggest getting there around that time.

    Great video. Can i ask how you kept your camera safe on your trip. I am a photographer and will bring my lenses and 2 cameras but i am nervous about theft. Thanks!

      We always keep our cameras in our backpack until we reach a safe stopping point, mostly at the tower itself here. We tend to also watch each other’s backs when one is filming or taking photos, we essentially take turns if the area seems crowded and possibly dodgy. But honestly, Pisa felt totally fine to us! In fact, the only time we’ve ever felt concern for our gear in Italy is in Naples (in general, felt unsafe), the main square in Florence & the Trevi Fountain in Rome strictly due to the amount of people and the known reputation of pickpockets.

    Just came across your channel! I am working through the Italy content... my husband and I are celebrating 20y of marriage in 2024. We're planning Italy and a river cruise. We were thinking march but heard it is cold... what are your thoughts about march?

    • @AndrewandKait
      @AndrewandKait  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Congrats on 20 years of marriage! That's awesome! March is chilly, but overall quite nice. It's about a high of 50 most of the time, which feels warmer in the sun but very cold in the wind. It's definitely not beach weather, but still enjoyable enough to explore the towns and will have lower crowds. So if you don't mind packing jackets, we'd say it's worth it!

    if we want to go back to florence from pisa, are there avai trains anytime of the day? thinking of spending only 2-3hrs max to see the tower 😊 thanks

    • @AndrewandKait
      @AndrewandKait  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, there are trains throughout the day to Pisa from Florence we use the Trainline app to schedule and purchase tickets in Italy. Take the train from Florence to Pisa San Rossore station it's much closer to the leaning tower of Pisa. Check out our blogs on Pisa and the rest of Italy to help plan your trip. andrewandkait.com/is-a-day-trip-pisa-worth-it/
