I think probably one of the most important features not listed or talked about is just how CLEAN those irons are. Super thin front post and crazy open rear sight make it a dream to aim.
@@modernwarhero8447 the comparison i think is closer to the Sparks in my opinion. i'm not much of a fan of the Mosin's sights and the Mako has only a 7m/s increase on velocity over the Sparks. the Sparks also holds my now second favorite iron sights in the game cause of the open rear sight. the only issue i have with it is the fatter front sight blade on the Sparks.

The stats are one thing, but did it feel good to use it? I also think they could speed up the reload. The way you reload it makes it look like you're loading it slowly on purpose.

Like that's my issue with the centy I never use that thing cause I can't stand its iron sight, but stat wise with dumdum its an insane close/medium weapon and high vel on the sniper variant is bonkers, it literally has the same speed as spitzer rounds on a mosin or lebel.
Levering is really inaccurate on it. The selling point are the aesthetics, the lower price compared to other long ammo bolt-action rifles and the sights imo.

That said, it still has levering: a tool that can kill up close rather easily. Even if it is inaccurate, it just means "get closer." You could consider it a more powerful bayonet (in pvp) especially against an already wounded target. Also, it has excellent sights, which you mentioned. This is a big deal. It also has explosive ammo, which had a massive headshot range buff, and an AoE size buff. Also it's like 350ish gold.

I feel like the Mako kinda sucks with Iron Eye just because it's still a fairly slow cycle time, and the animation throws off your aim IMO since the sight moves so much. So, when you have an animation like that that might make you miss (at least until you get used to it maybe), that slower cycle time really screws up follow shots.
What's the point of switching from a repeating rifle to a pistol? For the sake of 0.1 ms you lose sight of the aim and greatly increase the chance of missing, no?
the sights are dope though. It would be silly but adding a speed loader version or giving it explosive so we could lever it would be pretty fun and unique.
It's alright, def a slow clunky weapon tho. Could use a buff, but it's pretty hard to balance out weapons without people saying "its similar" or "its like". They wanna create a unique weapon.
for context, the hunt store stats are a complete lie, timing the mako's cycle time, its about 1.3 seconds (1.18 with iron eye ) where the mosin is about 1.78 seconds (1.48 with iron eye) almost half a second of cycle time traitless is absolutely a boon, and about 0.3 seconds with a trait is still good, I'm not even trying to argue if its better or not, I'm mainly just saying this to say don't trust the store stats
The whole point of a lever action rifle is that it's supposed to significantly faster than a bolt action, and a pump action faster than a lever action, still. It always irked me watching the animations in this game where the character haphazardly and slowly cycles the action on a lever action. There really doesn't seem to be much "weight" to it. Plus, the perspective of the reloading of the Uppermat is just bizarre. It's like the character is holding the weapon 2 inches from their face when they reload the weapon.
The Mosin doesn't have an aperture sight, though. We get it, the Mosin is the queen gay of all the long ammo guns. It's boring to use, as it's the safe option for all the CoD kiddies who need hitscan projectiles to do well in FpS videogames. As for me, the moment I unlock the aperture sights and FMJ, I'm going to be using this gun a LOT, both for the clean aperture sights AND the challenge of hitting folks running at far distances with a MV of only 405(8? Idr.) This will probably be the only long amo gun I use, and that'll only be when I want top use aperture sights, otherwise I'll do my normal stuff of sticking with the springfield bayonet with dumdums, or the drilling, also with dumdums, or the specter with flechettes

The Mako's slow swap speed is s bug, I reported it to crytek and they confirmed that they will fix it. (Probably at next event in 3 months)
They also buffed jump shooting this update and it is pretty effective up to 20m

I think you should also consider the fact that it doesn't lose ammo on partial reloading compared to other long ammo rifles
Only thing i really love about Mako is claw variant. i would love to see more rifles where light attack in with claw and heavy is blunt
