I liked the original LeMat. FMJ was already pretty dope, decently good with fanning as well, and the shotgun is useful for very aggressive door entries. The Carbine pushes all of it higher [sans fanning of course], and is one of the most versatile guns in the game. It's one of the few instances where you can pick up a melee secondary and not be in "meme loadout" territory.
the LeMat has some of the wrost hip fire out of all pistols. I think maybe it's only the silenced negant is the only 1 wrose at hipefire. so the fanning is hit or miss. not reliable.
@Joshua Serrano what do u mean. LeMat has some of the wrost hipfire out of all the pistols? lol look it up! it's cuz ot had the most rounds, 9. they trying to keep it from being OP. or else every 1 would run fanning LeMat. there's a reason why alot of people fan the conversion. and it ain't cuz it hits hard! it has the best hipfire. just how the game is, has nothing to do with this Bomb ass weed I got! lol
Alot of people like to slam slugs in it and its a total bop with slugs but my favorite thing is treating the base shotgun part like an emergency "Aw nah" button when I get pushed or am pushing. Also people really like walking into it if you're low even in low six stars because they think "Its just compact ammo"
I think it's best paired with a hand crossbow for a traitless build. You have the panic one hit kill at close range with the crossbow if you whiff the underbarrel shot. Slap half poison and 2 concertina bombs and you can do a bit of everything. Or in teams use half chokebolts and that will free you space to bring wombo combo traps to the fight. You've got some fun options there.
Honestly loved crossbows in this, quiet, high damage, high accuracy. The only disadvantage was having to reload them. But if you were accurate and or patient enough you could kill anybody. I usually took a shotgun alongside it for close range panic or ambushes.
You forgot to mention that when you use Starshell, its effectiveness is roughly twice that which you would get normally due to the sheer intimidation factor
I haven't put a lot of time in on the Carbine yet, but I can easily see it becoming my favourite compact ammo primary weapon. Having a button I can mindlessly click while walking around will keep my ADD satisfied.
it is definitely not just you with the forgetting to switch fire modes; I have scattered so much buckshot across open plains since I got this gun that it'd make Genghis khan proud
@@AtomicMonkey923 It can use Compact FMJ (to boost ammo pool of the carbine), dosen't need any traits to shoot effectively, it's got good reload time, good rate of fire, decent damage and it gets the job done Plus a little bit of personal preference i like the ironsights, and I love the sound it makes when shooting, and most importantly it's fun

The only thing I really struggle to recommend the carbine for is medium-long to long range. It has the same drawbacks as the Winfield without the phenomenal front post for head tapping.
I haven't been able to play Hunt: Showdown for quite some time (😭) so i can't try this out myself. But i just thought about this. If the LeMat Carbine offers utility, why not lean into that further and pair it with a hand crossbow (half regular, half poison). Adds a second option, for if you missed your shotgun shot or have to deal with two enemy hunters. And gives you very decent PvE weapon.

It's quickly become my main weapon. I've had situations where they panic enough to allow a killshot by myself or my friends. Also the utility of barrel kills. It also doesn't slow down your already slow velocity like FMJ does either. I've been using a sparks pistol with half poison ammo for maximum annoyance, half regular for wallbangs. 15 seconds of no healing and being at potentially 1 health makes switching to the LeMat effective at any range if you're fast enough on the switch. And vice versa, if you hit them with incendiary, the small amount of char prevents healing to max, which can then allow the sparks pistol to one shot. I've been having a lot of fun with this combo. Guilty as charged, I am very into Hillary Duff.
As always informative, helpful, entertaining and to the point! :-D
IM NOT GONNA BE ABLE TO GET IT. I was in the field and I'm still 7 levels away...
Looking forward to the third movie!
As much as I like the FMJs, I really wish it came with High Velocity instead 🤷
no no i forget to swap off shotgun too sometimes
Hey, then the Nagant M1895 regular video? Is this gun even worth it?
I get that intimacy is not required in our beautiful TH-cam-based bond but would you consider it an option, at least?
I'm super new to the game and this gun looks super fun to play! But how do I unlock it?
Just keep leveling up and you'll get there!
Also welcome. And keep in mind Hunt is hard af. Be nice to yourself out there! Win some lose more!
Intimacy not required... but encouraged? 😏
My Favorit Weapon in the Game❤️
Crytec mind to fix grip on this gun, so hunter don't get 3rd degree burns on his left forearm every single shot?
Winfield is a good allrounder.
Lemat carbine is a bad allrounder.
It's really meh. I just don't see a reason to play it besides variety.
Did you just diss the Dark Knight Rises? Who doesn't like that movie?
finally, I love this gun
Aww I was hoping for a return of Iris
God Damnit Bookie stop tabbing out -_-
