I have had my reservations for index funds for the Indian market but looking at this MF i have started to believe index funds are the way to go forward.

Axis on the other side doesn't look that attractive in same timeframe, people should look at alpha and beta before choosing the MF they invest in.
Recent under performance is due to Bajaj finance , Infosys , TCS and Asian paints. Nothing to worry it will come back. Under performance in Avenue super mart and Divis labs is already factored.

Sahil, people with less stock market knowledge invest in MF. So they refer past performance. If they had knowledge to check MF portfolio then they themselves would directly invest in stocks.
If I believe in India's growth story with huge demographic consumptions, I would love to stick to growth investing style. Rough time in this fund actually gives me better chance to accumulate more which in turn rewarding in future. And MF is for future! Value investing style should have no competition with growth style. These are different.

I have stopped my SIP in Axis Bluechip and moved to Canara Robeco Bluechip but keeping my invested amount as it is.
I am now moving to ICICI Bluechip.
