I didn't date Elliott and so I didn't gave him flowers too. But you can still get to 10 hearts with a character without dating him. I was already married too a beachlor and I had the 10 heart event with Elliott. I'm pretty happy that he accepts the decision that u don't want to become closer with him than a friend. Because normals when you recheckt someone the make you feel bad.
imo, the fact that you can say you're uncomfortable is kinda comforting in its own way??? because you can pretty much let him be aware of your boundaries, whereas w other characters ur kinda just stuck accepting it even if it is uncomfortable for u irl.. also, why would u go thru the trouble of getting 10 hearts w elliott if u don't rly want him to kiss u!! much like the other bachelors/bachelorettes!! ESPECIALLY since this is elliott, who is certainly the most classically romantic of all the options
Well yes, but you literally offer him the bouquet for this event to happen which is literal love confession... I mean first kiss is usually quite sudden. Honestly rejecting that after leading a character on thinking that the feeling is mutual is kind of mean. I get the boundaries, but in this context its weird if not cruel.
I like.. really don’t like Elliott. Handling the rejection well or not, he still kisses you without your consent and that makes me wildly uncomfortable. Plus it even has the option to say you’re uncomfortable and I haven’t seen an option like that with my romances in SV so far.
I hated the Shane cutscene for that reason. And Emily's, coz it seemed contrived and predatory. But then this was one of my favourites, thought it was the most "swept up in the romance" of the lot. Guess it depends on whether you genuinely like the character or not

This is such a weird fucking take, the only way to trigger this cutscene is to give Elliott the flowers that begin a romantic relationship with his character. Kisses like this happen all the time in the real world, and the scene is too pixelated to even know the details of what's going on. Not every human interaction needs explicit spoken consent. You guys seriously need to go outside, if you don't like the character that's fine but don't misconstrue a pixel art kiss to be something sinister. Sometimes people just lean in and kiss without talking about it.
Ah yes, makes a move, inquires about the other person's physical response, and if they tell him to stop he immediately does so and apologizes. A real Ted Bundy.
