We have worked with many dogs with this problem. While there are products for dogs who eat their stools, several are full of MSG monosodium glutamate and they are not very effective. We have found strict management works best (quick removal of feces).

How about you just pick the poo up after it’s been done then you wouldn’t have the habit your letting it become a ongoing habit it’s not hard you don’t need a trainer for that. So ridiculous

Buy tinned pumpkin and mix with their food. They love the taste but it makes their poo taste bad and they will stop eating it!

I heard that zest of an orange sprinkled on the food and then after it passes through the dog (providing it will eat it!) let them try and eat it as it tastes disgusting to them and they stop doing it. I've no experience of this but there is a post on TH-cam somewhere claiming that it worked for them and it was a vet that told them about it.

@@danielledewitt1 you are correct you should not give the food you told the dog to leave as it is confusing. Also she said no way too many times. Would of been better if the dog sniffed it she said leave it, click and reward. Allow the dog to back off on their own :)

@@martynabiziuk86 Well I did but I held something my dog shouldn’t have in one hand and a treat in my other, he tried to get what he shouldn’t have but when he backed his nose away from what he shouldn’t have he was rewarded with a treat, then we were able to introduce theword, then plase out the treat and now I tell him to leave it whether it’s food or something else he shouldn’t have he obeys right away.
