My mom’s flip flop words are sunsets and sunrises, she always says them backwards, resulting in a strange blurting thing where she will shout the proper ending after saying the wrong one. Ex. “What a lovely sunset, RISE!!”
All I have to do and watch Tyler when I’ve had a down day. He always put a smile on my face, or laugh at something he says.
I could watch Tyler grocery shop, clean, organize, repair, or cook all day, also enjoy felicity in the background n Pinocchio living his best life ❤❤ this family

Hope you see this late... one of my favorite Christmas movies but don't watch often is Last Holiday with Queen Latifah. It's so cute!! She thinks she's dying, spends all her retirement traveling and meeting fun people and falling in love.
There are a few triple on/off switches in my home and I ALWAYS have to flip all 3 switches to find the right one. I’ve lived in the same home since 1972!! I’ll never learn.
3 things: 1. I’ve never seen someone make spaghetti noodles in a cast-iron skillet and in the water before it boils! I’d love to hear more about this. 2. Tyler I JUST mixed up the clock/calculator app for the first time today! 😂 3. The thing I mess up every time are the names Audrey and Aubrey. I CANNOT keep it straight ever and I always call people the wrong one!
This happens so much to me, that I just respond to both names!

I went to a local dive bar and my friend ordered an old fashioned. The bartender proceeds to pull out Sunny D to make it. 😂 It was our lesson to abstain from craft cocktails when at dive bars.
Jessica, if you have a dollar tree store nearby, they have lots of different containers for $1.25 each. Tin, paper, plastic (some with Christmas designs or plain) of all sizes.
We call it the ‘time will tell’ box. Learned that from The Minimal Mom. I love her channel…it was super helpful when we were downsizing. ❤

Me and my mom give cookies to coworkers for Christmas and every year the day after Christmas we grab a bunch of the Christmas tins at stores like Walmart for like 50% off and save them for the next year. It definitely helps bring the cost down ❤

I put raisins, sugar and milk on my cream of wheat. As a child I made a face with the raisins, then the sugar was “snow” and the milk was “rain”. Also, when I make spritz cookies, I double the recipe. It is much faster than making two batches. I have used the same cookie press for over 60 years and these are our favorite Christmas cookie.

I think I always mix up is that I say de thaw instead of defrost. Also, similar to Tyler‘s, I sometimes mix up the Calculator in the calendar.

I tend to hit the calendar button for the clock and vs……. I was very happy to have the nightly end of day chat again!!! Yesterday when it ended I was like……… wait a min!!!! And kept looking at my screen all confused like lol 🤔🤣

My husband's thing is the elevator button in our building. He ALWAYS has to think about what button he needs to press (garage or our floor). You can physically see him think about it and sometimes he still presses the wrong one. It cracks me up every time 😂

Can you talk about your pasta boiling technique using cast iron and not waiting for a full boil before adding the noodles?! I’ve never thought to boil in cast iron as I figured it would mess with the seasoned cast iron and would impart a strange flavor to the noodles…but many you’re on to something!!!

Isaiah, isaac, and elijah, are three names I will forever have to double-check and look up to make sure I spell them correctly. Funny fact, in the early videos when Tyler was saying europe, my ears were stopped up from a cold and I kept thinking he was saying Herb. I kept thinking he was going to show us how to grow plants during the winter 😂

My big mix up is when I go to turn the headlights on or off on my car I always turn it in the opposite direction that they should go . I always think I’m going to remember next time , but I never do .

The thing about the Disney castle... When we were there they were doing renovations on the castle at Disneyland so you couldn't even see the castle at all. They had a printed drop cloth in front of the actual structure. So we couldn't go inside or even get very close. Can totally see how people would feel a little disappointed not getting to see the castle but at least it was a structure they could walk into LOL (I'm assuming?).

i went in 97 when the castle was a cake and had my pic taken with it. and to think of it, i do remember being a little disappointed that it wasnt the real castle.

Today, I actually pulled up the calculator thinking it was my the phone dial and typed in an entire phone number before I realized 😂😅🤣 I also do the same thing with the calculator and clock where I think about it and still pick the wrong one! So glad I’m not alone 😂

The coffee segment just reminded me of the Java scene from Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid. It’s a Steve Martin movie directed by Carl Reiner. It’s hilarious and he makes his famous Java in it 😂. Definitely not a holiday movie but a must watch if you like older classic comedies with Steve Martin

I make an unhealthier version of Cream of wheat but everyone LOVES it. I make it with 2 cups of whole milk or 2% milk, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 4 Tbsp butter and 7 Tbsp sugar. It is fantastic.
Hahaha love the Martini story. I’m from England and our vermouth brand is Martini and we have Martini Dry, Martini Branco and Martini Rossi, so she was right if someone orders a Martini dry in a pub it’s just a shot of the liquor 😂

Was just in London again a few weeks ago and found out that most pubs actually can’t make cocktails. They can make mixed drinks but not something like a martini. For that kind of cocktail, you have to go to a cocktail bar. I found this out when I was at a pub and asked for a martini. Who knew!

The thing I always get wrong is when I take the top off my daughters milk cup and the top off the milk jug and go to put them back on. I always try to put the opposite one on every every single time even though I’ll stop and think about it first.

Mine is also whenever I need to set my alarm for the morning I always open my calculator. And anytime I need my calculator I open my alarms. I feel you! My husband teases me about it 😂😂😂
15:08 I also have issues with the clock and calculator apps. My word is 'ferry'. It always comes out 'fairy' and when I overthink it, I say 'furry' 🤣
I love the OXO spritz cookies as well! I’ve been baking them since my daughter was a little girl and she now has three little girls of her own that she makes spritz with. Also, Jessica, when I forget to get an egg out to leave at room temperature, I put it in a hot/warm cup of water or bowl of water for about 10 minutes and it helps to bring it closer to the temperature you’re looking for - it works in a pinch.
I will always freeze when I am on a call on my cell and get a 2nd incoming call 😅 and don’t know which to choose! Eventually the other caller goes to voicemail haha
For a fast room temp egg, drop it into a glass of hot water for like 2 minutes (tap hot, not boiling because hard boiled eggs)
For me, randomly, I always say “sandblast” when I mean “pressure wash” … so goofy!😂

My boys love the cream of wheat with sugar, cinnamon and a little bit of milk with a pad of butter on top. I also make them some cinnamon sugar toast on the side to dip in the cream of wheat. SO YUM!!!
Cream of Wheat - when I was a kid, my mom would pour it on a plate and sprinkle Nesquik on top. It was oddly delicious!
I think today’s vlogmas title is my favourite! Candy cane lane was such a fun movie! For me the phone confusion is the Sephora app and the Indigo app I always click the wrong one and they’re not even similar!!!!
I shred everything with my name on it, junk mail, labels, receipts, coupons. I have a just in case bin next to recycling and toss everything in it. Just made Spritz cookies. When I saw the parchment I knew it would work. I wish. I tried. I made a double batch.

I always mix up pinecone and pylon (a traffic cone in Canadian) it’s the “cone” that throws me off. 😂
