Tree toppers with the spiral base can be corkscrewed into the top of the tree. You can even stretch them out a bit before hand then screw it on. The spiral will go around some of the upper branches and hold it in place.

We, too, have a weak treetop, lol. We finally ended up wrapping black electrical tape around the top branch to make it much sturdier. Works like a charm!
For the tree topper, I can normally get the one tallest branch to go through the top of the spiral where it attaches to the base of the star. It goes up through and behind the star, so it helps prop it up. Sometimes it still goes a little wonky but when I do that and mess with it a bit, I can get it to stay!
To stabilize the tree topper, try putting a wooden pencil or something similar against the top branch (that will be under the topper) to help stabilize it!

Ok so my mom was a professional tree decorator (that’s a thing lol) and she always took the highest branch and rather than just shoving it down on top, you wind the branch around the spiral. I really hope that translates lol idk how else to describe it 😂
Try clear fishing wire to weave through the spirals, if your topper has that design, to where you have 2 lines of wire coming out from inside the bottom of the topper. Then tie the wires around the center base of the tree where the topper is placed. Or attach ornament hooks to each wire and anchor to the closest branch on the right and left side of the topper.
Our tree topper was always somehow finessed on with fishing line. My dad also tied the tree to the column next to the wall with fishing line so it wouldn’t fall over lol

We plan to use you all again in 2025 for a Disney/Universal trip. It was nice to ask a person direct questions and get detailed answers about parks, food, resorts, etc. It was all very easy and simple to go through the agency. Recommend!!
We super glue our tree star to the top and it flops over like the 'how the Grinch stole Christmas' tree. My husband has a 3D printer and he printed the same star from the movie, I love it! We even look for trees with a "big tail" as my 5 year old says 🤣
I use a small hai claw clip in a brown color to attach our star. I use it hold on the middle branch at the top. Hard to explain but it’s worked for over a decade
I usually just fold over a branch for the topper, making it a bit stronger. As for missing Gigi, did they think you forgot your kid or gave her to Santa? 😂 I figured she was with Blue Nana. Btw - you should save the bean liquid aka aquafaba. There are many ways to use it, but primarily as an egg white substitute in recipes; like it'll whip up like a meringue.
I put some tissue paper up inside the spiral part of the tree topper to fill it in. The spiral on ours is black, so I just use a bit of black tissue paper. I can put more tissue on just one side of the spiral if needed to better support the topper.

All our artificial trees had one skinny branch sticking up for topper. Most branches have a wire, I just fold it in half and twist, now it’s perfect for my toppers.

Tree topper. My husband amputated the bottom base of it so it's just a star then thread tie-wraps through the back and made perfect loops that attach to the top of the tree. That sucker is so in place all season long. Granted our star is made of this kind of "spider web" material so it has space to thread through. But I freaking hate crooked tree toppers.

We do that too. I fold the branch down first, then zip tie the topper.
Take a wooden spoon from the kitchen and zip tie the tree topper and the top together to it!! It is a game changer!!
