My son was diagnosed just over a year ago now at the age of 9. It was a HUGE punch in the gut as neither my side nor his dads side had any history of Type 1 so it was super scary! In fact, my kids just a couple of weeks ago told me that was the first time they’d ever seen me cry in their lives lol. Anyway! Just wanted to say thank you for your videos on the subject and your life because they really give me hope and a little bit of assurance that not only can he have a normal, active and social life as he gets older....but especially as a guy who’s so into running it really helps to show that his dreams of playing football and just anything super physical is still possible! Thank you and keep posting! 😊👍🏼

I got diagnosed 5 years ago!! I'm 13 now and I play softball volleyball dance and still go out/have fun with friends!!
