Dude this was heartbreaking. I cheered when you said it was the last one in stock, but that just made it more tragic when you uncovered the full scope of damage. Glad you got recognized in public as a silver lining. Keep up the dope content.
No. The 2 bumps on your motor are capacitors. One is the Start-cap one the Run-cap. Start-cap will switch-out and not be used at full speed the run-cap is in the circuit at all times. Very common in single-phase motors such as 120V you have there.
That was totally by accident 😂 I was somewhere on my 3rd or 4th take trying to record the intro, when this happened. I payed my respects and honored his wish by spreading his message to the world. "Dream Big"🪦🐌
Nice video. Sorry to learn of the issues with it but you took it extremely well. Your patience is honorable. Fully returning it is probably a Godsend. Good luck and May God Bless.
Same deal got mine with broken flywheel and dented cage (damage was a little more extreme on mine) waiting for repair parts now. By the time the parts get here it will be 10 plus days of downtime, I told the associate when she brought it out that the box was pretty beat up she said it was last one. But hey mine came with the woodruff key.
Sucks about the compressor, I’ve had similar problems happen before. Glad to hear you got recognized though! Almost half way to 100k subscribers! Only up from here! Keep up the hard work. Always happen when new videos come out.
You about made me cry man .. I bought an Ingersoll Rand 60 gallon many years ago . Runs without any problems... Only way to go.. I've previously thrown away several failed Hazard Fraud compressors that broke quickly.
I just picked one of these up. The washers for the rubber feet have two washers, do you happen to know if the smaller washer goes inside the rubber foot and the big washer on top with the nut, lockwasher? The manual only shows one washer on the top but inside the rubber foot, looks like the small washer sits inside it. Only .7 hours on mine and so far so good. Upgraded from the 20 gal mcgraw.
I've already seen your followup, I think that you'll be happy with what you ended up with. FWIW, most of the heat compressors make is from compressing the air and that depends on the compressors adiabatic efficiency, v-twin vs inline will make no difference in running temp outside of cooling area, but if you compare your 2 videos you'll see that the V-twin has smaller fins. The disadvantage with the V-twin is that it can never be balanced as well and will always vibrate more. SCFM stands for Standard CFM, meaning at "Standard" temperature and atmospheric pressure. The reason that it's significant is again, compressor adiabatic efficiency which is affected by air density, temperature and pressure. Not testing at specific conditions would be a way for the compressor manufacturers to cheat their testing to make it look better than it is. I get HF's wanting to separate out different lines by quality, but I don't get what they're doing with a few tools most specifically compressors. The Central Pneumatic one is probably one of the best deals around and best quality for someone that needs something that will be used relatively hard but can't afford or have the room for a 60gal or bigger. The McGraw is not better. It has the same half a 60 gallon tank (you loose a gallon to the curve of the endcap) but not as good/durable design. Things like that drain valve not being at the lowest spot on the tank just don't make sense on them. I'll comment more in your followup video.
New to your Channel . Thanks for the video!.I just bought this compressor and and I wasn't sure how works since this is my first one cheers bud! And sorry for the defective compressor. I got the 21 gallons and as sooner I turn it on blow up! So I went to exchange it and I got this 29 gallons instead.
Oh dang that sucks. It looks like a nice compressor. The s in scfm stands for standard. There is a standard temperature and humidity in which they test them. Can't wait to see your next one good luck with the compressor search. Hopefully another one like it comes your way soon. I can only imagine what kinds of awesome shine you will be spraying once you get it.
You know you could have purchased a new keyway for it and an auto parts store. Just a thought that is after the fact. Please keep up these good videos. I've learned from them thanks.
Great vid, im looking , Shit happens is no excuse , Q.C needs to fire that inspector who went over that compressor... .Did not consider some of the things you compared other compressors features. This happened to me on a HF drill press.
i have the other HF 29g higher cfm also and $100 cheaper get the other 29g it's amazing i've had it two years now i use it to paint at home best $400 something i spent
Wow thats a lot of damage. I was going to treat myself to this compressor for my birthday. I want it mainly to run my plasma cutter. Now I'm not sure. I can feel your disappointment especially when you have your heart set of something
Honestly the older 29 gallon cp is better in specs wise your getting less with this new version I have the cp myself got it last year around $350 before this inflation it's been doing good coming up on the 20hr oil change I've modified mines with a aftercooler setup and a bowl to catch some of the moisture going into the tank
Unfortunately, the Italco h3000 b 1.3 is an hvlp, and trust me, it uses air! I have other spray guns I need to test with it, but most hvlp. Looks like I'll be in the market soon 😅
This defect was during assembly, and shipping process! But, I knew if it was built properly, it was going to be a good compressor. Fortunately, I addressed these defects to harbor freight company so they can be more careful and pay attention to these things before shipping them out to customers / stores. I also had the good fortune to get this compressor again (working to its full capacity), and it really is a great compressor! It is one of the biggest volume air tank, being dual stage (motor/ compressor), 120v (240v compatible), and at a price no other brand can beat! 🏆
@@GTsPerformance You got the same compressor as the defective compressor in this video? From the same store and if from the same store how long was the wait to get the second compressor? I am thinking on getting this same compressor and I was disappointed when I viewed this video. I am thinking about getting this compressor and plumbing it to the 30 gallon tank that was on my Craftsman 75 Anniversary oil less compressor that let loose on me last year even after I installed a new compression ring/seal on the piston. The Craftsman ran great for two weeks and then bit me right in my ass
Unbelievable. When I buy a compressor, I will demand a test run at the store before buying. You have to. Who has time to keep returning a piece of crap to get another piece of crap.
Dude this was heartbreaking. I cheered when you said it was the last one in stock, but that just made it more tragic when you uncovered the full scope of damage.

It certainly looks like a great compressor, tho! I'm going to keep an eye out for the next one that comes. I'll gladly go for Round 2 ✌️😅
- thanks
Harbor freight has never given me an issue for returning bad items

That intro with the snail had me laughing way to hard😂

best opening to a video i’ve ever seen

Sorry that happened to you. They should compensate you for all your trouble. You seem like a really nice guy and I wish you all the best.
I bought the oil less version. Running 1 year strong so far

Damn dude im in the market for a compressor and i had my eye on this exact one as well. Sad to see it was destroyed
Great video man! Been looking at the 21 gal. not wanting to spend the extra $$ for the larger capacity, and better motor 29 gal version...
You about made me cry man .. I bought an Ingersoll Rand 60 gallon many years ago . Runs without any problems... Only way to go.. I've previously thrown away several failed Hazard Fraud compressors that broke quickly.
😆😅the engine oil change and check spark plug got me!
Anyone know the duty cycle of the 29g McGraw compressor?
I just picked one of these up. Man that's a lot of driving and travel!! I think they ship for like $7, that's way cheaper than driving all that distance.
Overall I drove 8 - 9 hours that day.. driving store to store trying to find one.
No luck, but haven't gave up! 👍
Dam dude, that sucks....
But now know when I buy one to be sure to open the box before I load it up and check it.
Thanks for the video 👍

There were no snails harmed in this video. Lol

"It wasn't too beat"🤣🤣🤣
Nah, not at all! 😅
Have them send you the pully and what ever else is wrong and fix it
Even better, they sent me a whole new compressor!
I already used it to paint a car with, and it works perfectly 👌
Take it back.
Damn they didn't just drop the ball, they forgot to even set their alarm to wake up for the game🤦♂️
Dam bro that sucks. I hate when things like this happen. Poor snail RIP
RIP
I'll get my hands on a compressor.. a working one! 💪
Do you use LPLV spray gun with it?
Unfortunately, the Italco h3000 b 1.3 is an hvlp, and trust me, it uses air! I have other spray guns I need to test with it, but most hvlp.
Looks like I'll be in the market soon 😅
WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!! i have the dewalt from tractor supply as well... hope you get the one you are looking for...good tools are so important!
Standard Cubic Feet Per Minute
Buy the extended warranty
NEVER BUY FROM HARBOUR FRIGHT I LEARNED MY LESSON THE HARD WAY.
You just convinced me not to buy a compressor from Harbor Freight. Thanks for the video.

Unreal and so sorry . The machine job on the keyway even looks bad
What a bummer terrible quality control, NO woodruff key was BAD enough and a cracked flywheel???
Aggravating
Unbelievable. When I buy a compressor, I will demand a test run at the store before buying. You have to. Who has time to keep returning a piece of crap to get another piece of crap.
Any time I buy anything that's several hundred dollars from Harbor freight I get the extended warranty.
