    Beautiful messages Alan & Suzanne! I have one grown up son. He is my greatest blessing from God. I would give anything to be able to turn back the clock and do it all over again. God bless you both and all your wonderful family. 😁❤️😁❤️😁❤️

    I wish all men and women before they enter into marriage and parenthood could hear this. It is easy to see why Alan and Suzanne's children have turned out so well. Alan has been a blessing in my life.

    Thank you so much for validating what I already know to be true about the awesome and truly valuable job of "Mother". As challenging as the position can be sometimes, I too believe that my children are gifts from God, and feel truly blessed to have them, and I could never imagine my life without them.
    Thank you for continuing to be such positive role models.

    Wow-wow-wow - thanks Alan - just when I was really doubting myself as a Mother - this was just what I needed today. This has given me a "shot in the arm" and made me realize how much my daughters depend on me to lead them in the right direction. Thankfully my mother raised me to be a strong, caring, Christian woman and I have passed that on to my daughters. If only more folks listened to what you and Suzanne have said - more importantly though....to what you have done. Thank you.

    Very good and timely advice for all of us. Even those who are not mothers or fathers, influence young people every day with the words you say, the actions you take, the way you treat others, and how much you show you care...
    Thank you Alan and Suzanne, excellent talks.

    Dear Doxie, I am so grateful for all the single people and those who do not have children in our lives. So many of them have been great examples to my children. In so many ways they have been mothers and fathers to my children when we could not be there. Thank you.

    I like Alans message very much. Especially about that we have the power to choose(and therefor to switch channels on tv...not to let ourchildren see things that is not for them)

    This is a message FOR parents. If you are a parent, take note but if not the heading "mothers and fathers" should have given you the clue.

    I love Susie Osmond because she loves Alan Osmond and you can bet all the shoes you will ever own, she and Alan have made a good set of parents! Especially if those 2 were as "permissive" as mine were! For instance, my parents "let" us make our beds and they "let" us clean our rooms. My parents also "let" my siblings and me learn how to do housework and my parents even "let" us learn how to do yard work. When you think of it that way, my siblings and I probably had 2 of the most permissive parents on the planet. I hope Alan and 🌺Susie took after MY parents! If they did, I'm sure there was not that much contention in their home!

    Nice message, but please don't forget that not everyone has been blessed with children. Not everyone can be a parent and we are just as important.

      You might not be a parent biologically, but all adults have uncountered with children at some point in their lives. There are always opportunities for positive interaction and guidance . To me , that is what the Bible means about being given " dominion " on this Earth. Not the right to abuse or destroy it or it's occupants. Thank you Alan and Suzanne. Always.

    Suzanne, is also a very beautiful woman who is a wonderful woman who has demonstrated repeatedly the strength of mothers across the globe she's a true Instrument of Jesus Christ our lord and savior who has used sister Susan for his purpose and his glory i can see the light of the lord Jesus Christ shining through her she is truly a true earth angel ❤ how she's explaining being a parent the definition of the life of mothers across the globe she is the light in the room its almost as if she is sitting next to all the mothers and wives and talking as if they were sitting right next to her. Yes Alan i believe we're all able to see why you ❤ Suzanne, is a wonderful woman that you should thank God almighty for because she's been a true blessing to you and your beautiful children that being a wonderful parent who has demonstrated repeatedly her ❤for you your children and enormous family, more importantly she credits Jesus Christ our lord and savior for everything and everyone she doesn't take anything or anyone for granted you couldn't have asked the lord for a better wife brother Alan when God made Susanne he broke the mold i believe from my mouth to God's ears that she's the only woman who was the best thing that's ever happened to you she's loving caring compassionate Understanding patient kind Generous to a fault and above all she serves the lord our God Jesus Christ and doesn't put anything or anyone before the lord our God Jesus Christ and no one could ever ask for more than that you were meant for each other i can only hope and pray that you guys are actually Marriage counselors, because i believe that you guys would certainly rock that mission if its God's will ❤ listening to Suzanne and you together in my personal opinion truly blessed. ❤ from Florida. 😊

    I agree. Nobody needs to be affirmed because they are alive anymore than parents need affirmation because they are parents. Calling yourself a maid because you clean your kids' bedroom. If it was a kitchen and you were single would you be called a housemaid too? Some of what parents do they act like "Joe nobodys" don't really do as well. Or like spending time with kids you have doesn't make you a psychologist. Are you a chef if you cook food for schoolagers--I call that family night.

  • @AnneLiesveld
    @AnneLiesveld 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    and if you have a family of five kids you have a handful of "prep chefs" in your house so it isn't like you are doing it all most moms just act like they have to.

    That is what I said. Plus I think it is kind of rude to Alan and Suzanne who are focusing their efforts on a niche that has desired to become parents to say "but I am not!!" I feel that way sometimes but there are entire groups devoted to people finding friendship with single people at most churches over 100 people. connect with coworkers if nothing else.

    Dear Anne, When I got a notice that there was a comment I didn't even remember what this was about, as I commented FIVE years ago. I don't know what is going on in your life that would make you post such an angry, rude reply, but I pray that the Lord helps lift your troubles

  • @AnneLiesveld
    @AnneLiesveld 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Doxie: The date has nothing to do with my saying something . I just saw the video for the first time. You said that they need to realize that everyone has not been blessed with children and I said--no DUH!! People state the obvious to them instead of thanking them for their heartfelt sincere message to mothers and fathers. I have no issues with God or do I consider that rude. When did they say that people who were single weren't important? YOu basically were rude to them on this page.

      I certainly hope in the 7 years since this post( which to me , who have always been single , but a mother/ friend to many ) that this lady who seems angry and upset over a perseved impression of these talks, has found some peace in life. Sometimes the intent of a talk is overrun by the listeners life situation at the time. Unfortunate, as anyone could benefit from the humor , and positivity about guiding young people, be matter whose children they are. We all need positivity and show try to pass it forward.

    I just meant as far as the maid thing keeping up a babies room isn't more work than cleaning your own and if you don't teach a kid to pick up after themselves is when you become a maid. I appreciate parents but don't put together a check list of every thing you do because it doesn't make you sound grateful as a wife/mom anymore than if I wrote down a check list of everything I did in my 5 hours of work as a worker bee. Why is it that when a mom gives a list of job requirements it is necessary

  • @AnneLiesveld
    @AnneLiesveld 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I do it it is rude.

  • @AnneLiesveld

    Have you contributed anything to the world besides? I mean I can understand if you have struggled otherwise but I think a lot of it (as a long term single person) single people struggle as a result of parents making what they do out to be more than what it is and single people become pond scum who would be blessed to be married--
