I met Layne backstage at an AIC show and when I was walking down the hallway to the dressing room, he was still crooning and his voice filled that hallway as if he was singing through a PA system. I walked into the room and there he was sitting back on a couch just belting it out. He had so much power!!

It's because its the same in the original. Their covers are always amazing because of that, they have attention for the details, the instruments in the same pitch of the original, same volume for each instrument and so on..

This is without a doubt one of the best covers of this song and it is most certainly my favorite.

i'm Vietnamese but i'm very passionate about foreign rock bands, especially famous rockers, like their visual style, support the music.
My absolute favorite Alice in Chains song, especially the unplugged version. And you guys absolutely nailed it. Jerry Cantrell wrote that song about his Dads tour during the Vietnam War. Jerry's grandfather called Jerry's Dad the rooster because he was so cocky. And Koby, the writing on your guitar was the icing on the cake, again absolutely incredible.
Rooster was also what the Vietnamese called M60 machine gunners

I recently saw them live at Thomann in germany, they are absolutely amazing musicians and extremely nice people.
I really cannot get enough of their MTV Unplugged set, but this cover was ... wow! And the message scrawled on the bass was just icing on the cake. Wish I'd found you guys sooner, but glad to be here now!
