I played rush, yes and Genesis covers for 30 years and he can blow me away with one hand tied behind his back.....with Covid!!!!! (Lets pray none of them get that.....
Yes and half the time brilliant in it's simplicity. It takes a LOT of discipline for 3 shredders, do kick the volume down a notch and just play 4/4 time for 15 minutes!!!! LOL Look at "Captain Love" probably my favorite song on that Album!
Well, you have to consider it’s just a three-piece. And Billy does a lot of stuff on that base that mimics a guitar, and his tone is incredible they have to turn him up!

The boys are back! One of my favorite bands to watch. Been following all three of their perspective careers for many years so I was very excited to see them teaming up. Kinda fun seeing Kotzen with a strat again.
@@oliver6582 Strats were what he played in Poison and lot of his early solo career. He seemed to use more Tele's with MR BIG and lately since he's had his (amazing) signature models. They have a different feel though and the Strat is just notalgic for me.

I went to high school with Richie , I’m sure he doesn’t remember me but I remember him. Totally dedicated to his craft. So happy to see him succeed! Love his voice , his guitar work is insane
If you close your eyes, you can hear a young Chris Cornell in Richie Kotzen's soulful, powerful voice and even still his voice stands alone! Amazing range! Very good stuff and the musicianship is otherworldy!!! Love The Winery Dogs! Keep Rock Alive!! My favorite Superband since Audioslave!!

Couldn't agree more! I have only seen them a single time unfortunately, but will definitely go again, when they visit my country! One of those bands which can actually play live to level of the recording or even better.

And these guys loved Rush when Rush was a band
Richie vocals sound like the "Go Faster" Era. Mike's drums sound amazing, Billy's bass is solid. Chorus is clever as all get out and reminds me more of the first album as a whole song. I hope they stick around longer this time. They are the greatest rock band around and should have already had Grammy's with all the amazing songs they've written. No one compares in the genre.

Do not take away from Ritchie Kotzen’s Talent. He was out way before Cornell and he is his own voice. He would never join Soundgarden and take away from his accomplishments. Ritchie is from another planet. He is up there with the greats just a shame Mayer our Shepherd doesn’t put him on tour with them. But he is amazing and has made so many people happy. Thank you Ritchie! Love ya!
when you are into "who can play the most (unnecessary) bass and drum notes per bar" this is certainly true. Billy Sheehan is definitely skilled and whatnot, but after more than one song his style becomes more and more a pain in the ass to listen to
@@MRKSrocks I agree with you that this music has its own niche and audience. Billy Sheehan was the reason that I picked up the instrument, and emulation of his playing was where I started. I was too worried about playing too many notes too fast, etc. but, over the years (as a player) I’ve shifted gears and influences (to players like Pino Palladino, James Jameson, Willie Weeks, etc). I’ve always enjoyed Billy Sheehans playing, especially as a pioneer that brought bass to front and center in rock’n’ roll, and always acknowledge that he was the main reason that I picked up the bass.

This band holds the record for being the tightest band in the world and there’s not a single guitar pick in sight. Fox anyone? I just paid so much money to go see Big Arena headlining ask and I just spent $90 to see these guys in a 500 seat theater in Connecticut next month. I’ve never been more excited to see a show in my entire life!

Better than Rush. He is the master I am a bass player myself I have never ever heard such a better sounding bass drum in my entire life he probably spent 30 years tinkering and experimenting just to get that sound of the bass drum. I like him better in this band than I do dream theater
@@chrisk920 yeah Rush fans will cry and complain, but at this point in his career I think Portnoy has surpassed Neil Peart. And I'm a huge Rush fan

This band holds the record for being the tightest band in the world and there’s not a single guitar pick in sight. Fox anyone? I just paid so much money to go see Big Arena headlining ask and I just spent $90 to see these guys in a 500 seat theater in Connecticut next month. I’ve never been more excited to see a show in my entire life!
The best part of this band is the insane musicianship and the insane rhythm group of Billy and Mike… 🎉
