Flyers fan here: gonna say that this process won’t be painful for me. It’s welcomed, because it’s long overdue. What was painful was watching this team flounder in mediocrity for a decade. All we want as fans is to not be lied to anymore. We just want a plan, and if the organization is truthful with us about where it’s going, we’ll get behind them through the tough times.
Fixing the offside rule should be #1 on the GM meeting. Throw out all the judgment / control crap that no one understands anyways. How many reviews do we need of blown offside calls do we need to know it is broken?
Chuck was getting fired, period. After the trade deadline debacle, if they didn’t fire Fletcher and hire Briere the building would have been empty until the end of the season.
the coach has chosen to play justin braun on the wing over playing kids.! everything he's does w/ this line-up is making an awful team into a less than average team. Comcast spent a ton of money on a coaching staff when it took over. there is no reason to believe giving the fans a winner isnt a priority. but just like the old ownership the quick fix non-transparent hypersensitive management style continues. from Tortorella contradicting bullshit letter to the fans to showing fights over scoring plays at home games. the Flyers have always benefited from playing in four sport city where hockey is an after thought unless its June. why did Briere feel the need to give Ian Lapierere his support? another guy ,(kjell samulesson, dave brown) continues to remain on a miserable hockey opertations staff
All protests that your children’s children will be reading about in their history textbook, from Philly, to Brookhaven, to South Jersey, and beyond. When Comcast finally sells the team, I want you to remember The Dirty Dozen.
Nah don't think it's really a better place when the Flyers are good, and they haven't mattered for a while, looking forward to them being irrelevant for longer.
