Good reaction. This video is a compilation from their concerts at the Forum in LA in October 2019 (octagonal stage) and Osaka Jo Hall in Japan in November 2019 (big triangular stage) and it had the studio audio dubbed on top of the live footage. As this was filmed at two shows it also featured both Riho and Momoko as the Avengers. Guest feature on this track was Tak Matsumoto. He is the founder and guitarist with Japan's biggest ever selling band B'z and getting him to collaborate was a really big deal for them - of course he provided the guitar solo. Good to hear you enjoyed seeing them live ... and we would all love to see them live in Japan.🤘🦊
Welcome back to the Foxhole guys, still waiting for your BM live concert review.🦊🤘❤️ There's a short song intro which is played prior to this song usually at live concerts and is also part of the Light Side of the Metal Galaxy album called "Future Metal". This song marks the route of the entire 3rd BabyMetal album, you can notice BabyMetal grew up a lot. Tak Matsumoto (B'z guitarist and founder) is the special guest guitar on the album version, he's doing the short guitar solo section. Song is inspired in Juliana's Tokyo 90's movement and sound, more like a mix of Hi-NRG, eurobeat and Jpop, rather than edm or rave, Tak Matsumoto was one of the first introducing guitar elements back then in these types of songs. Of course SuMetal and the girls aren't afraid to try something new and they did it like a boss, or more like a queen and princess. In this case you're watching an official live compilation, but no live sound (instead they're using the usual studio album sound) from two live shows in 2019, LA Forum and Metal Galaxy World Tour in Japan 2019, and one of the avenger is Riho Sayashi, she currently have her own solo career, the other one is Momoko Okazaki, now MomoMetal. Kami Band after 2019 are wearing masks, during the LA Forum it was Western Kami Band playing. They recently played Kingslayer along with BMTH in the Japanese festival, everyone went wild and not only just one time. BM also announced a new Legend MM for 2024 at Yokohama to celebrate MomoMetal 21 Birthday, so probably MomoBanger will happen, OTFGK. So that it'll be your chance to see them live in Japan March 2 and 3, sign up for the lottery tickets and praise to the Fox God to get lucky.🙏 Thanks for sharing this, see you next time and as always put your kitsune up!🦊🤘🕺
⚡ 💕 / 💃 This is BABYMETAL's love letter to Japanese Dance music of the '90s. The "Whoa!" in the background is a famous sample used in many '90s dance hits. Everything from the guest solo guitarist Tak Matsumoto, to Moa's lyrics in her rap section are direct references to dance songs of that era. In Moa's case, she's literally listing song titles from the era. Matsumoto is best known for the group B'z. They're the best selling artists ever in Japan, and one of the best selling worldwide. It was quite a score getting him for the 'Metal Galaxy' album, but as Su has mentioned, they were able to get all of their first choices as guest artists. Matsumoto was also very influential in Japanese Dance music from the '90s, so he's a perfect choice for this track.
Even though this was an official music video, the footage is a compilation. This video had the studio audio with footage from the LA Forum concert in October 2019 (their first arena show in the USA, and the song's world debut), and one of the Osaka Jo Hall concerts from November of the same year. Supporting dancers were Momoko Okazaki (USA/octagonal stage) and Riho Sayashi (Japan/triangular stage). I was there for the song debut at the LA Forum. And of course Momoko is now officially Momometal. : )
Nice one, thanks! Probably not among my top favorites but it's very energetic and Matsumoto's guitar solo is outstanding. "I want to see them in Japan" Get in the line... nah, better: you can apply right now for their shows in Yokohama next March (I already did it). 😁 Until next time! 🤘🦊
Dance-Metal, Eurovision trance-Metal, whatever you call it, I was at the world Live Premiere of this song at the Forum in LA in 2019 and it was so heavy and so beautiful and with some of their dance moves, you could call it "Saturday Night Fever-Metal ...lol
You now know what to expect from BabyMetal 🤔 caught you out again 🤣 and was that clicking of fingers a hint at West Side Story 😁 hope you tell us more about your first BabyMetal experience 👍 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
For some concerts they started with Future Metal intro going into Da Da Dance.....I'm just smiling at the happy confusion of some metal fans might have had, having a electro dance number to warm you up for the concert.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤘🦊🤘
Does this song make me wanna sing and dance?! Hahaha! Even just seeing the title in your reaction video had the chorus pop into my head and a picture of the choreo. (I only chair dance, and I started that too!) Big thanks for this one! EDIT: *WHOO!*
You two has become one of my favorite BabyMetal reactors. Open-minded. You just enjoy BabyMetal for what they are and not what they should be. I recently watched a reactor complain that he sees “X” markings on the stage for choreography purposes. That critique was a new one. Usually, people complain about Su’s voice. The fusion of Jpop and Metal. The costumes that the ladies wear. No growls and screams. Not playing their own instruments/ Not writing their own songs. It’s great to see reactors who just enjoy good music. Thank you for all your amazing work.
Nice reaction. Babymetal doing another song telling us why they have Doki Doki Mornings. LOL. Tak Matsumoto is one of Japans great guitarist. and was a real big deal for them to get him to play on their song. Much like getting Tom to play on Metali. And check out that stage they used for that part of the tour. Stunning. Also, at this time Babymetal was SuMoa. So, every time Moa sang, she moved into the center of the trio and Su would slide into the side position. With a smile on her face seeing Moa getting to shine. Tickets are on sale for their big upcoming show in Japan for Momometals 21st birthday. If you get to go you will most likely get to witness Momo sing Headbanger. And sadly, it might be the last time we get to see Su hand off the mic for a long time. They're out of big birthday celebrations after that until you get to big numbers. and I can wait for those. Let's just enjoy them in their prime for now. The Foxhole is deep and full of surprises.
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This MV is a compilation from 2 shows (in USA and Japan) with studio sound. This song was premiered in the world at The Forum in CA on Oct.11, 2019. Tak Matsumodo (松本孝弘), an arranger of guitar and played solo in the studio is a Grammy Award winner in 2011 (with Larry Carlton). Please continue to explore BABYMETAL.
😂 Babymetal’s “Metal Fitness Regimen”: Do Da Da Dance choreo, 12-14 songs in a row, 100+ times a year… AKA, their tour schedule. You get to eat all the junk food and stuff your face, and not gain an ounce. 🤣👌 🤘🦊🤘🦊
Hey guys! I don't know if you already heard about a Japanese metal band called Hanabie, if you don't, pleeeeease do a reaction... I knoooow and I'm pretty sure you're gonna like it..
Hi! I'm so happy to see you guys again. BABYMETAL's world tour in Japan will be held for 2 days in March next year. This time it's the 20th birthday of new member MoMo metal. It will be held in a fairly large arena. It's sure to be a special live show. We sincerely hope that you will participate. And I want to meet you too! ☺
5:43 that's so true!!! As a fun fact, during their Avenger era in their Glastonbury performance, Riho (an avenger) was really out of breath by the end of their set. You can check that out if you search their road of resistance performance. She was sweating a lot and breathing heavily through her mouth as you guys mention. Meanwhile, Su and Moa looked like they just took a walk or something. They're athletes, no joke
Out of about 120 million Japanese people, it is probably me, Kit Kat and a few others who don't like B'z, lol. I don't like Eurobeat either. It means, it's almost the only BM song I don't like, haha. Well, I've got used to it a bit, though. I won't say any more. But I am glad you like it and thanks for taking it up!
@@septasoareousrex That's true. I was misinformed when I posted that comment. Suggest you find a good fan cam of the recent live performance of BMTH and BM playing together. Good stuff.

BMTH and Babymetal now together! Look for it!
da da dance was written and composed by kanata okajima(岡嶋かな多)
She is a talented and versatile person, and Maya was also provided by her.

I don't get why you guys keep reviewing their old stuff rather than than their newer (and better IMO) stuff.
We've done a reaction to all the songs off of THE OTHER ONE and Metal Galaxy if those are the ones you're interested in 🤘
