GGG Craven Content: Hobby Tips

While i work on the next episode of our long form podcast thing (which has a NAME now - stay tuned) here's a quick(ish) vid for you guys of Hobby tips from Al and Matt.
I'm not ENTIRELY sure that Matt understood the assignment but he did put some good effort in before Diablo IV came calling so we'll let him off.

As a professional Painter, I learned the Color Theory at School, so I handle them very well.
But I will do the writing thing when 3D Printing because I tend to forget how much I have scaled the Minis and have to remeasure them regularly.😅
My Tip would be: Hang dirty Brushes with a String and Masking Tape in a Can and fill it up to the ferrule with Brush Cleaner. They will clean themselves overnight.

All good points!
My top tips, mostly social ones as opposed to painting:
1. Wash. You filthy, diseased, unwashed disaster. This is a social experience, show a basic level of respect for those around you and don't turn up smelling like a fart too a dump in your armpit.
2. Don't play to win, play to have a fun experience. If you table your opponent in turn one, you might feel good about it, but your opponent doesn't. You just trashed their army they spent forever working on and you could potentially have ruined their enjoyment of gaming. One less person out there to play in the future, and you WILL gain a reputation in your local area as an unfun power gamer.
3. Play for the enjoyment of playing. Lots of people want to be a name and a face in their corner of the hobby and quite frankly, even if people are nice to you, they just see a raging narcissist.
4. Read the room. If you are in a room full of random players, don't make sound effects really obnoxiously, especially if you are an adult. It's cringy, off-putting and quite frankly, hugely embarrassing. What you do with your friends is one thing, but not with pickup games. Roll your dice, don't throw them up in the air to crash all over the table and on peoples models.
5. Remember that your opponents models are their property, not yours. Don't touch them or pick them up unless they have given you the OK. Don't put your fizzy drink near their game tiles and miniatures. Don't put your greasy, unwashed, filth encrusted fingers anywhere near their books either.

The cabinets are called DETOLF. the extra shelves i put in were called DASIK. (not from Ikea)

@@GrumpyGrognardGaming I don' know about the situation in the UK (?) but DETOLF is no longer in the range, at least in Germany.
