@@JK-gm1ek I wouldn't say it's pseudoscience, there just isn't enough studies yet but we know it works just we aren't exactly sure on the details yet. Mainly because it's been big corporations funding studies with the goal of maximizing yield above all else. So, we have a ton of knowledge on getting lots of food which is great but now it's time to equalize that by studying ways to do that in more sustainable ways.

If we dont know, we dont know. If you dont know you cannot claim to know, thats not how science works. Moreover some of the claims are just wrong from a biological perspective.

@@JK-gm1ek Yeah that's a fair point. But from a gardening perspective we can't always take the scientific approach. There are so many gardening methodologies out there without scientific backing that seem to work but we don't know why yet.

I can't believe that a gardening video touched me so emotionally. We switched to organic foods a couple of years ago. Even before that, I had started a few pots of veggies but have gotten much more serious about it this year. I decided to start composting a couple of weeks ago and found your videos when doing a search on how to start. I really appreciate the way you break things down. But when you put the two broccolis into the worm farm and using time lapse, showed that the worms went after the organic first...well, that was game changing. Some of our friends make fun of us for spending more on organic and driving across town to some of the few stores have have larger organic selections. I'll be sharing this video with them. Thank you for your channel!

Absolutely brilliant Mr Weedy, you've knocked the ball way out of the park with this one. Mainstream TV production companies should be making quality material like this instead of the shallow mindless celebrity gardening crap they pump out for profit. Cultural attitudes will only change through education that is not funded by commercial (for profit) interests. Hopefully people will see this sort of material and start asking questions and think for themselves. I will be sharing this video with everyone I can think of, even those who think I'm nuts for growing my own food. All the best mate from a cold and rainy UK.

While studying, I got trained to spray herbicide and pesticides. That course resulted in me never commercially spraying as it opened my eyes to the absurdity of using chemicals in tje environment. 25 years of only purchasing organic produce and now growing my own. Even weed should not be hydroponic. Live now, like you have in wonderful Denmark. Keep up the fantastic teachings for the benefits of our ecosystems and peoples gut biomes.

I also chop & drop, chip small branches and collect as much rainwater as I can. All in your average suburban yard. Working on adding more perennial vegetables and native perennials, for the birds and bugs. It has been a wonderful learning process.

Great presentation! In '90 we had a startup Co., biologists, mechanics, and data specialists, planning to use the www., to connect 'permaculture' research bases, 'farms', to exchange soil, terrain, Swale data - everything - I popped into a Uni Library to find EU grant info., and came across astonishing, detailed plans, the EU proposed to 'diversify out of cities, into smallholding-based village societies', aimed at '92. Perfect! We applied, WWF were up for half, due to diversity. The EU went to sleep. I overworked physically, with a lurking virus (thanks, 'cheap' food, and amoxicillin), got ill. Still planning to get an old soil garden.

Very good video! Most of the ideas I already knew, about why it's bad to disturb the soil, I knew about photosynthesys, but you tied it all together in a very well explained video, and made it clear again how bad it is to eat non organic plants. I've been growing vegetables for the first time this year, some things went really well, other things failed. But we still buy food in the store as well, we're not self sufficient yet, and I don't know if we will ever be. We've harvested and eaten raddishes, carrots, beetroots, peas, some herbs, chard, lots of zucchini, a lot of lettuce, a few tomatoes and 2 small cucumbers. At least we have 4 raised beds in place now and 2 more on the way, and a fence around it, and compost bins, and 2 1000L water tanks with a 20 square meter roof to collect rain water. Next year I can at least put plants in the ground when they need to be planted instead of having to keep them in pots because the raised beds weren't finished or there was no fence yet, which was what happened this year. I've learnt a lot already, for example no spikey plants next to leafy greens anymore, which seems obvious in hindsight...

This video is a MUST for anyone even vaguely interested in healthy, wellbeing and importantly, Vitality. I have a health background, am passionate about nutrition and grew up on a farm where my darlin Grandpa forbade any chemicals of any kind and we grew and preserved all of our food. We were very poor but ate like kings in comparison to the townkids. Fresh clean air and water, healthy alive soil, outside in and with MummaNature and eating organically connected with likeminded peoples like your yourself, and the world would be far healthier and happier. Thank you so much, this is one one your best Vids yet and thats saying something with the value your have provided us all xo

The first time I watched this, your calming voice put me to sleep, the second time I watched this it really hit home just how very important this is. I always had a feeling these supermarkets and all their profiteering is keeping us malnourished. Time for more investigation into how to turn this ship around.. love it Weedy , thank you 🙏

Welcome back Mr Weedy man 💚🙏 What a bunch of knowledgeable content once again. May this go far and wide and educate many so that we all may heal ourselves and grow alike. It's never too late to bring the natural process of gathering nutrients from our backyards.

@TheWeedyGarden this is pure gold Sir! I've been watching your videos for the last 4 years or so. These videos helped get me through the pandemic and also a personal tragedy during that time. This is some of the best content on YT or the internet for that matter. Keep up the great work!

Loved the video Weedy! You should consider creating a standalone video with the broccoli & cauliflower time lapses, so folks who don't watch the longer video can still see that

You're a special fella, amazing informative video. I've completed Dr Elaine Ingam soil food web online course, I'd recommend it to anyone curious about the living force under our feet. Your explanation of the soil food web was easy to follow which wasn't often the case during the course. Like you I'm trying my best to grow the most nutrient dense food possible, living a life with your hands in the soil with purposeful intent to encourage an environment that attracts an abundance of life and diversity is so rewarding, it sings to my soul. Keep up the great work.
Also, if you need any help when you do the garden makeover, if i can, I'm happy to volunteer my time, I'd love to rub shoulders with such a quality human who's spreading such an important message.
    Keep shining bright. Matt

Wow, what a clear and mind opening video. Thank you. I learned more about the food wheel , and the way nature naturally provides plants with protection, when given the correct soil and environment to thrive in. I love Weedy Farm, such a great way to get educated on the subjects I hold dear to my heart. ❤
