so what's the deal? you put a dispenser facing the beehive, a shears is inside, a lever on top to activate, but the hive isn't getting harvested and isn't dropping any honeycombs. what gives?
I love that you get straight to the point there are to many tutorials that take to much time to explain something simple so thank you for sharing your knowledge
Do you know that there’s a very rare chance that when you grow a tree oak or spruce next to flowers there’s a rare chance that they will grow with the beehives growing on them with a couple bees inside
🐝 Thank you for a thorough/fast guide. This was all I needed to know. I don't need to see someone's fancy building around hives and their surrounding land builds and a jabbering on of life stories etc. I have the knowledge now and can use it with my own imagination. Be well! 🐝
straight to the point, thank you so much. watched another vid on bees and didn’t understand anything they were explaining, was giving a lot of useless information; i ended up killing four bees trying to farm honey/honeycomb using a different method but after watching your vid i now have nearly ten bees
i wish i watched this before trying to start a bee farm. I was so excited and had a lil bee house ready and once i had shears and sheared the hive they attacked me (i didnt know about the campfire method) and i was devistated when they all died :(. loved my bees.
REQUEST: can you do a no nonsense as short as possible and straight to the point guide on villager mechanics and villager breeding? Bascially just showing how to breed villagers, what kinds there are, and the most valuable trades, etc.
I've been making a birch tree farm to build a village in this mountain crater I found a beehive spawned on one of my trees in the farm area kinda bugs the hell out of me but silver lining this video will help me with my problem and actually turn it to my benefit so thanks alot
Just spent a couple of hours growing trees with flowers next to them. 5% chance it grows with a nest on it. Got me 15 nests with bees (and 30 stacks of oak logs) These hives and breeding seem easier... Edit: O, also: i heard you can put a closed fence gate next to the nest and the bees can go in but will not go out. Useful if you want to move it with bees inside.
Hi, Great to the point guide. Here are some future vid ideas. I’m a returning player so doing a vid tilted catching up for returning players will likely be popular. I’m a console player so identifying any differences will be appreciated greatly. I know more work but I think it will help your channel since I’ve seen it as a common comment. Things I still need to research, is sweeping sword only a java thing, uses for dragon breath and why does just sneaking not stop activating those things in the Warden area.
Great tutorial. I have a question. I'm playing the mobile version of Minecraft. How do I get to the menu that tells you what level your beehive is? Will using the shears on a beehive to get the honeycomb destroy it, or can I go back after a while and use it again to collect the honeycomb?
if you've collected nests with bees already in them via silk touch do you still need to craft the hives ? Or will they behave functionally the same when placed ?
The damn bees attack me every time with a campfire 1-2 blocks under the hives. I’ve tried carpet and moss above it also. They hate me. What’s the issue here?
I can’t get the bees to use my bee hive. I make the bee follow me and then I place down the beehive where I want it and the bee just flys back to the nest. Any way to fix this?
Here's my method when harvesting honey : switch to peaceful mode, grab the honey with sheets, campfires aren't necessary. After harvesting switch back to whatever mode you were in before. (Easy, hard, medium, normal etc)
So idk if it's because this video is a year old, but the bees attack me regardless of the set up with the campfire and I did it exactly like you do. There's rarely a moment when they don't sting even with the campfire. And sometimes even though the camper is lit, it doesn't show smoke. I hope someone comes up with a solution to tame bees, cuz I get tired of running for cover every time I harvest. 🫤
It truly was the "No nonsense" that got the click. No one has time for a 20 min vid thank you sir!
I know exactly what video you’re talking about🤣🤣

Same. I came from that one. It’s not terrible but too long to get basic info.
I don’t know what you guys are talking about, but glad you found this video after that.

Thanks for the compact, shortened video. It was informative, and brief. Just what I wanted.
This is the best guide to bees in Minecraft. Thank you.
thank you for explaining this topic in a short and effective way!

Never seen your vids before and I’ve been playing MC for years. Excellent guide, straightforward and bloody useful.
So I subscribed 👍

Bees have been in the game for a few years and this dude just taught me so much XD
Excellent. Just perfect.
Straight to the point, all parts are equally separated. Best guide like all other should be. 10/10 Good job bro ❤
Well done ... best basics video on medieval minecraft bees yet. Thank you very much for making this clear.

I use campfires for my bee hives and when I get honey they get mad. Is there a way to prevent this? Thanks!
Thanks for this dude - gonna link this video in a modded tutorial I will post soon so peeps can learn the vanilla style first :)
Also if you want to have a goat farm, you should do it on top of honey blocks.
This prevents them from jumping and escaping.
Putting the trap door above a campfire doesn't allow the smoke to pass through it and hit the bees nest. It doesnt work in Bedrock at least
What if you open it while harvesting and close it at other times?
Just did it in bedrock dig 5 down
Quick and easy. Great guide 👍🏻

Thanks for being original and not following everyone by doing an overly long intro and adding random sh*t.
Liked and subscribed :)
Still works! Thanks for making this. You really made it easy to understand :D

On Pc you press F3 and on console you need to select "Show Coordinates" in the settings :)
If I use a leather lead to get the bee's home, will they still adopt the beehive in my house? Or does it have to be flowers?
Best guide out there! Thank you!
Didn't know about the sugar 😊
Very helpful, thanks :) But I wonder, are vanilla bees working with Botania flowers ?
I have camp fires under my best and they still sting me when I harvest the honey, do you know why?
An update probably changed it you’ll just have to break the trap door harvest then replace the trap door
Thanks so much this will really help!

Do bees come automatically to your beehive? i made i put flower nearby a Oak tree
There is truly no nonsense i subed!
Emphasis on no nonsense🤩
Does it still work if you don't lure the bees with a flower, but pull them on a lead?
Any reason the smoke stops when building it like that?
you can also wax a sign so you don't accidentally click it any more
What tipes of blocks campfires work through? Can one use skaffolding?
Is it normal that my bees, once they entered in a beehive they don't get out to repeat the cycle ?
Awesome tutorial!
Cool and informative video 👍
If the trapdoor is placed over it are you sure it doesn't stop it from working?
I’ve found you can also put fence posts around the campfire to keep bees from flying into it
Did anyone else notice he was around 100,000 blocks away from spawn? Lol
I can’t get the bees to use my bee hive. I make the bee follow me and then I place down the beehive where I want it and the bee just flys back to the nest. Any way to fix this?
Thank you mate.
After i made the campfire and everything they still get really mad
I think they changed it in 1.20.82
I’ve had better experiences making the campfires lower in the ground and removing the trapdoor
The trapdoors prevent smoke from reaching the hive it doesn't work
Yoo EK im an old fan i remember the video in which you didnt speak also im first pin?
But what does drinking honey DO?
Nothing, just gives a decent chunk of food
My bees still try to attack me after putting a campfire under the hive
I think on bedrock the trap door stops the smoke in theory so on consoles don’t have the trap door under the beehive!
@@notmyki I'll try this!
@@notmykiis there any substitute? Or do I have to place and break a block every time I wanna collect honey
