- 50knots!!!! ...OMG... I did it!!!
Crazy... absolutely Crazy!!! ...ok... it was a VMAX ... but that was my goal and can't believe i made it!!

Ben I've just realised i know you. I just started watching some of your vids but didn't make the connection till i saw your T Shirt saying your name. Did you used to go surfing up at Bala when you were a wee lad. I knew your Mom & Dad who were always up there with you. You look just like your Dad. I was always up the with Andy Homer and the likes back in the eighties. He sailed a Laser and i had a couple of sinkers. You probably don't remember me as you were only about 9 or 10. Have fun, mate.

Honestly impressed. Great stuff, yet the helmet from the beginning should have been used all the time. Risk of head injury at 50 knots, not good. These videos are watched by many windsurfers. It is a good occasion to set the example for being safe as well!
Congratulations Ben! Brilliant achievement joining the 50 knot club - I honestly didn't see that coming - well done! Also the video series is excellent, it's been great following your progress since West Kirby - that must seem a long time ago now! You should be very proud of what you've achieved.
I'd love to know a bit more about the 50 knot run. How did it feel? Were you on the edge? How did you adapt to the part of the course where the lull hits and then peaks at the end? How scary is the lay-down at the end? Did you make it back in time for your flight?

That´s for pro only. Very very dangerous indeed... BTW they thank u when u hit the top speed not because they liked it.it´s only because u set the new challenge...lol what would be the fun if the limit already existed.?
