Hello, I’m barely starting off my business.You’ve brought me to tears when you said you were wrapping a necklace for someone who recently lost their mom!! I recently lost my child on July 14,2022 and part of the reason why I’m starting off my business is because of my child! To honor him! I also found making jewelry a way to cope with all the overwhelming feelings (grieving). I have two other wonderful children I need to focus for! This has been the healthiest way I’ve found to keep myself busy. Thank you for your content 🌹

Very inspiring and helpful. I have been making handmade etched jewelry for almost three years and am finally ready to start listing my items on Etsy (I have over 120 pieces!). Part of the delay is being overwhelmed with packaging and especially shipping. I would love to know where you get your packaging supplies and how you make your necklace cards (and do you sell earrings on cards too?). I will check out your channel and I already subscribed. @@beccabooer either etsy or something online. I’ve talked myself out of it for months now. Full time student with PT work. I think the hardest is figuring where to start and branding.
@@nuchivue4568 yes! It is tough to figure out which online platform is best! I still think about opening a Shopify as well. If I do I’ll let you know how it goes. Branding is tough but it can always be changed down the road...I have changed my branding a couple times and improve it as I go. What are you thinking of selling?
@@beccabooer repurposed necklaces. ☺️ I have extremely sensitive skin so I’m trying to find necklaces high in quality but good for people with sensitive skin like me. I can’t wait to see more videos ❤️💕 what pushed you to start? How many fails? I know it’s a learning process.
@@nuchivue4568 That sounds awesome! I am obsessed with all kinds of jewelry, and repurposed seems so unique! I have had oh many fails 🤣🤣 but I’ve really changed my mindset from “fail” to “learn what doesn’t work”. So I have learned lots of ways that don’t work and I know I still will. What pushed me was actually watching a ton of TH-cam videos and seeing other do it successfully. It made me think if they can, so can I. It is definitely a long game tho...started out really slow, but now I building momentum! It is also super fun which is what keeps me going. I hope you start your shop! I started so small to test the waters and found out I loved it! I will keep the videos coming! Thank you for your support, it’s so encouraging to me! 💖💖

Love your video, I subscribed! I have a question for you. How do you format your graphics for printing? I noticed you do a great job of not wasting paper and being able to line everything up perfectly to print out your small cards. Could you tell me what software you use and also what size you typically do? Thank you again for the helpful video!!
Aw yay! Thank you for subbing and for your kind words! 💖💖 I save my graphics from Canva as a png file. Then I insert them into Microsoft word and size them to 3.3 x 3.3 inches. Then just line them up and print! I actually will be making a video within the next few weeks with visuals and a step by step of how I create my backing cards! The ones with my logo I have printed from a company called psprint. The “happy mail” stickers that go on the outside of my packages, I print at home and use my cricut!! Does that help? 💖💖💖

@@iluvdramarock ahhhh I use a tiny wire and hook it onto the jump ring and punch it through my backing card. I have a video where I show this, I will link it for you so you can see a visual! 💖

How do we start ? Do we have to get a license or buy whateva a domain is ?? Probably stupid question lol
Not stupid at all! How you start depends on a variety of factors. You may need a business license. It depends on where you live and the local guidelines. You can google your local small business administration and find out if you need one to start. Then, you will want to decide how and where you want to sell. Etsy, Shopify, your own website etc.

Hey, I love your video it's so helpful. I just have a question... what size jump ring are you using?
The jump rings I've bought in the past have not been strong enough to hold the pendant, so I'm curious as to what you're using.
Ah yes the jump rings are 4mm 20 gauge. The gauge is how thick they are. It’s so hard to tell just by the picture. The smaller the gauge number, the thicker the jump ring will be. If you type in Google “jump ring gauge chart” this will help you compare the sizes and gauges. My pendants are all very small so I choose a super small jump ring. Hope this helps! 💖💖

Hey There! Thank you for watching, I am so glad you are enjoying them! The boxes are from Amazon and there is a link to them in the description. As for tarnish, my gold jewelry doesn’t tarnish because it is 14k gold plated. Of course the sterling can tarnish and for that I recommend a polishing cloth. I don’t coat any of my jewelry. What kind of metal are you working with?
@@beccabooer I am working with brass I can't find any 14k chains here were I live so i thought i will start up with brass 😓
@@gethas3454 ok I see. I think you can coat brass to prevent tarnishing. I am definitely not an expert in that metal. But if you google: “how to prevent brass from tarnishing”, it gives a bunch of products and articles that may help you! 💖💖

@@kerolosgeorge9425 I am not sure which is best. I think that Etsy is good for starting because it brings in its own traffic. It does have a lot of fees. I have never had a Shopify shop, but I have heard others really like it. I have also thought about trying Shopify at some point as well.
