These hammers and anvils/flutes are part of my "dream" studio. Oh the possibilities!

I had the pleasure to talking to Mr.Fretz this weekend at Metal Werx Marketplace in Boston, and off course purchase some tools. Very excited.

Thanks Bill! Stunning!
Wonderful, thank you for posting this video. It answered many of my questions and I have lots of new ideas to try.
Wow ! Very instructive and well done. Thanks.
Excellent as usual
This is just fabulous
Fantastic! Thanks..
Amazing!!! Thank you!!!
That looks quite lovely...I wonder if it would work with one of the mokume gane sheets....
Fantastic, gorgeous
We are glad you liked it!
Cool! I’ve never seen this side of Mr. Cheney.
Re-reviewed was most helpful re: pure silver usage, stake sides different curvatures and noting heel of the hammer usage..
Would I cut a 6" long piece of SS sheet metal and solder it into a circle to create the blank or can your purchase sterling blanks?
Hi ClassyGeek! One would generally use raw materials for this project, like sheet metals, as most of our cuffs are finished jewelry. Let us know if we can help further!
Hey again, +ClassyGeek! We were a bit off in our initial response, sorry about that! You can find a sterling silver bracelet blank here: www.riogrande.com/Product/Sterling-Silver-6-14-x-38-Bracelet-Blank/613424
As well as a selection of other bracelet blanks at this link: www.riogrande.com/search/go?w=fretz%20bracelet%20blanks%20
We apologize for the confusion. Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with!
Do you anneal again before starting the fluting-after forming the convex cuff?
Great video! Can this be done with Sterling Silver? And what solder do you use to join the ends? Thanks!
Yes this can be done with sterling silver I would use a medium solder like 101703
Is that a Gunther water cooled drill press in the background?
Here goes the stimulus!!!!
Which stake did you use for curved flute you show at the end of video?
Hi There! This is the 20 mm Convex Fluting 'Finish' Cuff Forming Stake, M-113B. It's on our website here: www.riogrande.com/Product/Fretz-20mm-Convex-Fluting-Finish-Cuff-Forming-Stake-M-113B/112894 Hope that helps!
Could the stake be held directly in a vise?
That would give you a headache as it would be so loud.☺️
"normally pure silver does not work for jewelry". Uhh, thats all Ive ever used and Ive been making my living making jewelry for 30 years.
Beautiful tools and instruction but what a god damn awful canvas behind!
