@ Bro if you need to “hide” your picks to beats teams… you probably aren’t very good. Besides nobody is going to be surprised when you bring out Jayce toplane. Azir/Corki mid and Varus bot… like every single team is doing. It’s such a nonsense take when people say “Oh they have to hide their drafts” like 90% of the teams are not just imitating drafts they see in LCK/LPL. As for Bwipos whole point - It ties into his comments about Scrims, which is that teams don’t take them seriously or just sack them off and surrender. The whole point of streaming is to put pressure on actually competing in scrims. Not just trolling or bailing on them last minute because teams don’t want to lose.
@ Are you fucking stupid? Every team on the planet hides their picks! Its literally one of the most important things in worlds to have better meta read then other teams
I’m so sick and tired of dom pretending that this is new behavior especially in real sports. Tons of sports fans are fans of a player and move teams to wherever they play. Athletes have left teams and are still hated by franchises for it years ago. Why is he pretending it’s unique to t1
In regards to streaming scrims, From a competitive perspective, Dom is right. Streaming doesn't almost nothing for the worse / losing team. What is does do for every team involved though is build hype, notoriety and an actual brand to back. Every year we hear about how it's hard to tell what certain players bring to a team, why some supports are so highly valued when we see mediocre play on the rift, what coaches actually do/bring to the team. I've learned all of that from LR streams. I've also learned that every situation in league is different and you plan to make them as normal as possible. While scrims are the reps to make that possible, they also are more volatile so you can learn how to adapt to a lot of different scenarios. That it's less. what is the right move, and more, how should we be looking at the situation. I'm not qualified to say if that outweighs wanting to hide picks or strats, but if the right people are doing their job, it shouldn't really matter imo and maybe that's the point. People could really get exposed for paycheck stealing if now all players and coaches have reviewable tape of their value to the org.
As a player who has no hands for mechanics but wants to learn how to play macro better, even though organized teamplay in solo que is an unrealistic expectation, I personally would want to watch tier 1 teams stream or at least post on their social media outlets one scrim game a week along with draft discussions and post game discussions on what they did good, what they did bad and what they need to improve on so that I can take some of those insights and apply it to my own games. I could also see this potentially boost viewership for games because it will give fans of LTA and LEC the avenue to connect with the personalities of the pro players of their favorite teams, obviously to hope that it doesnt produce parasocial relationships.
I feel like you guys fully missed his point about streaming scrims. He knows that it's not the best for the teams who are scrimming it, but it will raise the level of other teams who watch them, which will in turn help them because higher level competition leads to better teams. Also, I think a lot of fans want it for more content. We have been begging for more streams for literal years. The last c9 pro to stream regularly was sneaky. Tsm is no longer in the league. 100t don't stream during the season. Only bwipo on fly streams sometimes during the season. Only corejj occasionally streams during the season.
Would be cool if someone ever reuploaded that episode of the crackdown if someone archived it somewhere It was BS that IWD felt so attacked that he felt at the time it was the best call
I have been following Smash since 2022 when I was living in Seoul . He has looked incredible and I thought that he would be a very good ADC in the LCK after 1 more season of academy.
Yeah, some fans are doing this, others are doing that, I can understand why we're talking about it, because it's more interesting to speak about the tree and not the forest (I mean, most of the T1 fans are normal humans so it's really boring), but I also heard some among teams are fond of a player, before being actual fans of a structure, we could also analyze this paradigm shift ; should we worry esport ressemble traditionnal sports so much we tend to reproduce these same patterns ?
Feel like whenever Dom gets riled about T1 fans, it's always because of shit he sees on twitter/X... bro that platform as a whole is a cesspit for brainless idiots spewing their nonsense. it's not just a T1 thing it's every fandom from every sport. he's really gotta stop generalizing what he sees on twitter as the consensus of the whole fanbase cuz at this point, he's no different just milking it for his personal content
thats just not true. reddit, his twitch chat, yt comments are also involved. obviously hes not gonna come out and tell us about the shit he sees on dcinside when he doesnt speak korean.
Have you never watched any livestreams of t1 games on twitch? Every chat on every source will be flooded with t1 fanboys who can't see the big picture and live in their delusions. Even the official riot broadcasters can't call the game normally when t1 are playing, the can't say anything negative about their players, they can't laugh openly if they see a blatant int play. It's been like that for years now, Dom is just very open about his biases and that triggers snowflakes.
my issue with LEC is why are we still doing bo1's lol.. its fearless draft and its like the LEC are choosing not to participate and i get that bo3's didnt really work a few years ago for the LEC and it killed viewership
This year is a test I would assume. They are swapping to Bo3 after winter, so they will likely want to test to see what happens with viewership. They won’t swap if nobody watches it.
Bwipo would never agree to stream scrims before their games at worlds because it would have leaked stuff like the Nunu jungle, he is just being a terrible winner right now
Could be speculations but maybe it’s not just about “who’s the better adc” in T1 but rather why would they dump him the moment he showed just abit of bad play because we all saw every single player in T1 having a stretch of garbage play but none of them was swapped out during those period so they might be feeling like it’s bs towards Guma. But to any delusional fans who thinks this way the answer is quite simple. During those stretch of bad play from Zeus,Oner,Faker, and Keria they literally had no other player to swap them out with. Not a single player on T1 challengers or academy could perform better than those 4 even in their slumps Smash is an anomaly who actually have the talents to play at Gumas level so instead of crying about it T1 fans should bless the heavens to have found yet ANOTHER high potential adc (Guma, into berserker, into smash??)
question, how bad is guma's overall performance to get him benched? im no expert and dont mean to offend anyone but some of t1's main roster also got bad probably worse performances than him.
@@justkidding69 @ overall in the games that he’s played he has mispositioned quite often and also just randomly dying. His varus and cait which is his known champions haven’t been performing like it used to. Like I said in my comment the other T1 players had literally no one to step in and play to the same level as them even if they are slumping but Smash is different in that his level of play is equal to if not greater than Guma currently. And people tend for forget this, in fearless draft it hurts a player like Guma because his Ezreal, zeri, ziggs just isnt good which results in them having to pick ad in their first 3 picks when mid top and jungle have so many op champions. Or they have to waste bans on Ez + ziggs which again hurts T1.
with G2 even Caps hasnt really looked good. he had a good game on the Azir but those 2 sylas games were giga rough... G2 just dont look good right now between Draft all the way to macro. i got a hard time believing they will be at First stand
Smash is good at everything guma is good at. Then smash can play everything guma cant. Smash is the way to go. T1 needs a carry without zeus. Guma is good but hes not the guy to put in he team on his shoulders.
can someone explain what happened to monte christo? I saw he's not on the usual podcasts/shows so got me wondering (I haven't been paying attention for some time so I don't know)
13:28 Smash got to play with Rekkless and he has said on his LR Streams that he would play ADC, Smash on support in scrims and it no doubt updated him. So if Smash got this huge EU injection with better mechanics, he's a more diverse skillset player right now.
He took a step back from the shows to focus on running LFN, he also had a kid relatively recently. I hope he comes back but I wish him the best if he doesn't
“They need to hide scrims” Yes because nobody is expecting the “Copy GenG draft” that every team does. That midlane Corki or Azir really going to catch people at.
Lets be clear here yes t1 fans have delusional fans like the truck thing is so dumb and yet you can't blame them because you know by now that t1 is the idol group of league right just look at their sponsors and endorsement and most of their fans are women and one of their player their support who is keria is a kpop fan so the influence is really in there and about the benching thing is so dumb guma probably just resting and grinding back his skills and smash men i knew i was right he's good at cl men
1 benefit for a bottom team to scrim streams against FLY which is said by the Dive podcast earlier is that this is the only chance this bottom team have a chance to scrim against the best team. Because best teams only want to scrim against teams their level or near them at least, bottom teams can only scrims again bottom teams which will lead to a downward spiral of shit scrims, no progress, and etc.
No not necessarily, it depends heavily on how that bottom team treats the practice. If they take it seriously and grind, they could easily elevate to a better team (they might not be as good but still better) because growth is a real thing. The problem with the good teams only scrimming the good teams is that nobody ever gets better… also these same guys will then complain when they go to worlds and the LCK/LPL teams don’t want to scrim them and they can’t improve.
I don't know why people can't seem to understand this about T1 fans but it's super simple. They aren't fans of the org, they are fans of the players. If Faker Oner Guma and Keria joined DRX then they would be DRX fans. It's not about the logo it's about the brotherhood
Bro Zeus left and everyone started flaming him and saying he was trash 🤣 about brotherhood 🤣 it was never about brotherhood, the moment a player leaves half the fanbase turns on them.
@ 🤣🤣🤣 “They are fans of the players” “He left the brotherhood, that’s why we flamed him” No bro, T1 fans have never been player fans - Every single player that has left has been absolute trash, every player that joins is the best. You might be a fan of the players, but that doesn’t mean everyone is.
@PeoplePleaser578 so then why are so many of the fans upset? Guma didn't leave. Smash is playing well.. They are mad because their player isn't playing
but i agree with Bwipo in a small sense. like having a scrim block where u stream meta stuff for interaction and then a scrim block u stream off the cam. could help the LTA with viewership again. i loved The Dive's take on it. could be good for the LTA in the end. and it could help the lower teams who may not be trying as hard in scrims wanna try harder because its being streamed thus maybe bringing up the competition in the league
Suggestion to rebrand LFN to we hate and love to complain about T1 and T1 fans. This is getting old every LFN podcast. Going to have to take a break from all LFN podcasts its pretty insufferable. Thorin and doms hate casts surrounded by yes men.. its just really really really sad, every podcast
well my counter arguement to the streaming scrims thing being unproductive is why is the LEC still doing Bo1's especially during the fearless portion of the season. they do it because if they did bo3's they would prolly lose viewership. so the idea behind streaming scrims is to try and gain viewership for the LTA by being unique and interacting more with fans.
why are you guys defending the teams that doesn't want to stream scrims? they are so pszzy. it would only be a funny event. once a week thing would be cool
Let’s leave aside passion and toxicity and parasocial etc I do NOT understand how any of these analysts sit there and say this is ‘normal’, T1 fans are just delusional and parasocial - normal in what world? When was the last time a world champion was benched in league? Assume that indeed they want to try smash and his champ pool - I get it, but pretending it’s just a normal day in the office when this hasn’t happened in over 5 years is a bit disingenuous, they just re-signed that player on a 1-year contract this offseason, they did not even give him a chance to play those champs and subbed him out 1 week in?? Is it just me?? I have never seen it before so ‘normal’ is a very strange qualifier to use, if anything I would say it is ‘highly unusual but maybe necessary’ And if anything this flies in the face of the player branding they were trying to push for the last 2 years and the pretense that changing Zeus to doran was nothing but a minor change … it’s not very coherent messaging..just my two cents, maybe I’m wrong?
Yes you are wrong. This same org with this same coach has done stuff like this in the past, even with Faker when he was clearly the best in the world, having subbed him out for Easyhoon and Pirean for example. Not to mention the fact that since fearless draft is only happening for this split, these games don't mean a whole lot.
ghost won in 2020 but got benched the following year. But because he’s not as popular as guma there wasn’t a controversy over it. This example just happened in the past 5 years so guma aint the first. In any competitive setting if ur underperforming and there’s a suitable substitute there’s always a risk. Even faker himself got benched before, and no one is more of a world champ than him. T1 fans needs to understand that they’re a competitive team not an entertainment group.
Why do you make a fuss about the opinions expressed by some fandom as if it were the problem of all T1 fans? The real problem is you poor western teams that don't even have fans do express “something”

@PeoplePleaser578 streaming scrims is actually idiotic if u want to win and the fact he "doesn't see" that is a joke
In regards to streaming scrims,
From a competitive perspective, Dom is right.
One of the best episodes so far we got BRO taking down GEN in convincing fashion and the hidden GOAT BeryL leading DK to the top.
Whallahi we are boiling humz
Sack check needs to be called Cough Twice For Me
Or
Sack Up
I feel like you guys fully missed his point about streaming scrims.
Would be cool if someone ever reuploaded that episode of the crackdown if someone archived it somewhere
It was BS that IWD felt so attacked that he felt at the time it was the best call
But yeah, interesting as always
Feel like whenever Dom gets riled about T1 fans, it's always because of shit he sees on twitter/X... bro that platform as a whole is a cesspit for brainless idiots spewing their nonsense. it's not just a T1 thing it's every fandom from every sport. he's really gotta stop generalizing what he sees on twitter as the consensus of the whole fanbase cuz at this point, he's no different just milking it for his personal content
twitter, reddit, and his youtube comments tbh
But its like not just twitter, its reddit too and Yt, and thats pretty much where the whole LOL esports ecosystem exists 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Twitter. Reddit. TH-cam. His channel. Twitch. It happens everywhere.
thats just not true. reddit, his twitch chat, yt comments are also involved. obviously hes not gonna come out and tell us about the shit he sees on dcinside when he doesnt speak korean.
It's been like that for years now, Dom is just very open about his biases and that triggers snowflakes.
let's not gonna lie to ourself, no body would watch shopify rebilion scrims even if they streamed it.
my issue with LEC is why are we still doing bo1's lol.. its fearless draft and its like the LEC are choosing not to participate and i get that bo3's didnt really work a few years ago for the LEC and it killed viewership
@@justkidding69
@ overall in the games that he’s played he has mispositioned quite often and also just randomly dying.
Guma is good but hes not the guy to put in he team on his shoulders.
then Guma better leave T1 am i right
DGON so right why noone asked those questions? Everyone just blame adc for int
Personally I think calling it the sack tap would’ve been funnier
Digon: Mkyx = Beryl and Labrov is just Moham xdd
can someone explain what happened to monte christo? I saw he's not on the usual podcasts/shows so got me wondering (I haven't been paying attention for some time so I don't know)
hes doing behind the scenes company stuff and spending time with his family instead of following all the leagues activly
Basically stepped away so he could have more time to focus on his family and other projects.
Instead of sack check maybe call it sack watch, similar to pack watch idk though I’m not a content creator good vid
Smash played with rekkles fot a year. They wanted to see him with an actual support
Can tell you didn’t watch Rekkles last year. Bro played well as support.
Lmao as u didn't watch him. Rekkles was a bottom 3 support in cl in summer and the worst in spring @@PeoplePleaser578
13:28 Smash got to play with Rekkless and he has said on his LR Streams that he would play ADC, Smash on support in scrims and it no doubt updated him. So if Smash got this huge EU injection with better mechanics, he's a more diverse skillset player right now.
Bwipo is a professional at virtue signals.
Really missed the "Dat boi is ass" segment
You right
Is monte sick or something? havent seen him at all lately on the shows?
He took a step back from the shows to focus on running LFN, he also had a kid relatively recently. I hope he comes back but I wish him the best if he doesn't
“They need to hide scrims”
Yes because nobody is expecting the “Copy GenG draft” that every team does. That midlane Corki or Azir really going to catch people at.
Lets be clear here yes t1 fans have delusional fans like the truck thing is so dumb and yet you can't blame them because you know by now that t1 is the idol group of league right just look at their sponsors and endorsement and most of their fans are women and one of their player their support who is keria is a kpop fan so the influence is really in there and about the benching thing is so dumb guma probably just resting and grinding back his skills and smash men i knew i was right he's good at cl men
That’s literally who I blamed at the beginning and end of the segment
@PeoplePleaser578 yeah, because he left the brotherhood. Simple as that. They felt like he abandoned them
Please tell me you understand that if Faker left T1 over half the fanbase would too
@ 🤣🤣🤣
“They are fans of the players”
“He left the brotherhood, that’s why we flamed him”
No bro, T1 fans have never been player fans - Every single player that has left has been absolute trash, every player that joins is the best. You might be a fan of the players, but that doesn’t mean everyone is.
@PeoplePleaser578 so then why are so many of the fans upset? Guma didn't leave. Smash is playing well.. They are mad because their player isn't playing
GenG and D + ???
😂😂😂
please get someone else then Dgon, just give it a try. Please
Thanks for watching :)
jamada such a boring host
but i agree with Bwipo in a small sense. like having a scrim block where u stream meta stuff for interaction and then a scrim block u stream off the cam. could help the LTA with viewership again. i loved The Dive's take on it. could be good for the LTA in the end. and it could help the lower teams who may not be trying as hard in scrims wanna try harder because its being streamed thus maybe bringing up the competition in the league
Streaming scrims would do one big thing, recapture fans
Cuz LCS is actually dead, lta is dying, this would instantly build a fanbase
👍
Suggestion to rebrand LFN to we hate and love to complain about T1 and T1 fans. This is getting old every LFN podcast. Going to have to take a break from all LFN podcasts its pretty insufferable. Thorin and doms hate casts surrounded by yes men.. its just really really really sad, every podcast
well my counter arguement to the streaming scrims thing being unproductive is why is the LEC still doing Bo1's especially during the fearless portion of the season. they do it because if they did bo3's they would prolly lose viewership. so the idea behind streaming scrims is to try and gain viewership for the LTA by being unique and interacting more with fans.
atleast that is why alot of other people are for it. to get the players streaming more bonding with the fans like the way the LCS was formed
why are you guys defending the teams that doesn't want to stream scrims? they are so pszzy. it would only be a funny event. once a week thing would be cool
Let’s leave aside passion and toxicity and parasocial etc
I do NOT understand how any of these analysts sit there and say this is ‘normal’, T1 fans are just delusional and parasocial - normal in what world? When was the last time a world champion was benched in league?
Assume that indeed they want to try smash and his champ pool - I get it, but pretending it’s just a normal day in the office when this hasn’t happened in over 5 years is a bit disingenuous, they just re-signed that player on a 1-year contract this offseason, they did not even give him a chance to play those champs and subbed him out 1 week in?? Is it just me?? I have never seen it before so ‘normal’ is a very strange qualifier to use, if anything I would say it is ‘highly unusual but maybe necessary’
And if anything this flies in the face of the player branding they were trying to push for the last 2 years and the pretense that changing Zeus to doran was nothing but a minor change … it’s not very coherent messaging..just my two cents, maybe I’m wrong?
@@johnkirk1772 people playing bad get benched
The objective truth is just that Smash is better than Guma rn and the coaches want T1 to have the best chance to win
T1 subbed him out now because they have an insane substitute ADC, it's not weird at all
Yes you are wrong.
DEI hire Jamada in da house!!!
whats a day in the life of a human lcd?
1 min and 0 views, they really fell off
Bwipo going on crazy tirades that make no sense is nothing new
Why do you make a fuss about the opinions expressed by some fandom as if it were the problem of all T1 fans? The real problem is you poor western teams that don't even have fans do express “something”
Ah yes. Showing that T1 fans are normal I see.
thats a very good point, mentally ill freak
