In this video I helped a viewer remove the valve cover from the engine of her Maserati GranTurismo. Her engine often makes a chattering noise at cold start up. This is common on these engines when there is an issue with oil starvation on the top end. If you have any questions please post them below, I'll do my best to find the answer for you.

How many miles were on the Maserati , and did she not hear the noise in the morning? Meaning did the machined bearing caps solve the rattle problem? Amazing videos!

Hey Rob awesome job , Im noticing a gear delay on my 4.7 qp when shifting to 4th gear. took the car to the dealer they're clueless recommended i drive it until the trans fails . what do you recommend ?

@@RobertDIY in the cam cap covers check valves where fitted right? Do you know what check valves where fitted?
No, as explained in the video, they were sent out to a machine shop and the machine shop did the work on the cam caps.

Hi I got the same problem,dealership told me my valve cover are leaking so I always can smell burning when I run the car with higher rpm ,I’m just wondering how long it takes for changing all the left and right valve cover because dealership said they have to charge me 10-12 hours labor which I feel it’s way too expensive to do it since they charged 235 per hour
