Ultra Marines is my secondary chapter after Blood Angels for my Deathwatch, one good thing about deathwatch is they look good playing all the chapter because they are all the chapters if you just swap out the character and unique units. Ultra Marines has such good character support.
Deathwatch ALWAYS look good! The ultra’s characters are awesome. I’m about to paint up Marneus Calgar in that sweet DW black. I’ve been thinking about Tigurius too.
Interesting take on the infamous Ultra Vanguard list. I wonder if it would be beneficial to split the Eradicators into two smaller units? Sometimes you might want to transport the Assault Intercessors package in the Redeemer and I have found that having some Eradicators in Reserves can be quite useful. Another thing I'm wondering is the actual benefit of Deep Strike for the Centurions. I can be wrong about this, but it seems that most of the time in previous battle report, the brick is picked up and redeployed right alongside a flank where it can draw line of sight/threaten a good portion of the board. Why bother with Deepstrike then?
I’ve thought about this. It’s very dependent on terrain and your opponent. There are definitely times when the dev cents will just stay in on place for much of the game. Especially with vanguard giving them stealth and cover all the time, they can be very durable and will be able to shoot back at whatever shoots at them. But even if they don’t need to teleport around the table, the threat of them being able to do so has a huge effect on how my opponent plays.
As much as I love my DW, by the time I put a Watchmaster on them and maybe a rhino, we’re talking about 380 points for a unit that doesn’t get any army/detachment buffs. I’ll bring them back on the channel at some point, I promise.
@@lanedelong3355 ok cool I just want a series of can deathwatch work in this army or this army. Can death work in space marines. Can deathwatch work in grey knights. Can deathwatch work in custodes.
@@blairbrook1336I’m playing around with lists like this but a lot of times DW just don’t make sense as Allie’s because they get no detachment rules or strats. I don’t think they’re. Good fit for Custodes because Custodes are more durable and hit harder in my opinion. They might be interesting in imperial guard or admech, giving them a close combat threat they don’t really have.
bro said these Deathwatch rules are TRASH lol
They are… sub-optimal

@@lanedelong3355 yeah it's sad but the veterans are better in other armies like Guard or knights where they lack marine bodies
