- In this video I show you how you can import a 3D model created in Blender into Clip Studio Paint and texture paint the UV Map with a 3d viewer in real time.

I was struggling to find a free 3D painter app that didnt weigh so heavy on my computer while doing it, thanks so much! I was so frustrated before but took it one step at a time to get it done and it worked!!
Oh wow you've just solved a HUGE problem for me! I've been struggling with setting up a texturing workflow that suited me in blender for days and this is perfect for my needs. Thanks!!
could please make your avtar smaller??? I dont see the tutorial thax
Yes I noticed that. I will be making a new one soon or you could watch this one too th-cam.com/video/cHH2-AC--lE/w-d-xo.html
Thanks I only just got clip and modeller is unknown there are no tuts for it but its got great potential for animation ,previously I used clip for painting uvs fot 3d models and its got great control so I think this is where Im going .Modeller could be really good for doing 3d camera shots so Im trying to find out how it exports to my other apps . Making movies needs a lot of background shots so Im trying to find out about painting stuff in there , so far nobody seems to know about it at all its unknown territory so I hope youll do more videos . Thanks a lot
That's great! I'm hoping they integrate modeler more into the paint application in future.
Yeah, Clip is 100% a illustration/Comic software at its core. The animation and 3d side seem more like they are there, so it adds value to the program.
Even now knowing I can just import the UV maps from blender I will probably keep with the werid way I have been using Clip to texture the models. Just save the UV and open in Clip and pant and then after I add stuff save and load that version in blender and check what I want to change.
this is gonna be SO COOL hey, are you able to import textures youve saved to work on them again in real time? i can take a few days to work on them!
Yes, you save them as a CSP file with all the layers and reinport them anytime you want. :)
I have a question, what key combination do you use to zoom in this part? 2:25
Hold right mouse button and drag it up and down to zoom, left mouse button to rotate and press middle mouse scroll wheel to move it up and down.
im really new to blender (downloaded it today ) , and half the schreen beeing cut off , not being able to see where what is and having to guess , then at certain times being told as it was at 0:40 in the video that we should do something not knowing where it was located , is of really no help at all .. and this being the only video i could find related to avatar texture making or editing for csp , kind of sucks when i want to do something but cant find out how to do it.
This is not a beginners tutorial, you need to start with the Doughnut tutorial by Blender Guru, that is where everyone starts...
Good Luck!!
Can I also do this with OBJ objects?
FBX saves the material slots with file, im not sure if an OBJ also does this
what do i do if it doesnt allow me to open up clip studio paint
Hi, I'm guessing that the Clip Studio Paint icon is greyed out in Modeller? Can I ask are you importing an OBJ or FBX and does its file name or the UV texture name have any spaces in?
Can you do this on a tablet or just a computer?
I've only used it on PC.
What happened if the file is in .psd file? It is possible to recolor?
In theory you should be able to open a PSD file in CSP, however I have seen that some features of PS are incompatible with CSP. Maybe do a search and find out what these are first of all.
clip studio uses so much memory it shut down my computer rip guess i gotta find another option
I couldn't really understand much, most of your screen was cut. I wish it was a bit more in depth especially for semi-new blender users..sorry. 😢
I have another tutorial here which should go into more detail th-cam.com/video/cHH2-AC--lE/w-d-xo.html
sorry but literally none of this worked for me
explain.. what bits went wrong
I LIED
it ended up working eventually, was too long ago to figure out how I messed it up, and forgot to delete my comment

@@cymarin3d511 o my GOD hi so sorry, when i was doing this i was extremely frustrated but it literally didn't work cause i was doing it wrong (obviously), when taking a fresh look at it later it worked perfectly i am so sorry 😭😭
Hi, i think it is impossible now of importing 3d objects in csp, 1. I open up modler
2. I imported
3. When try to edit and go to the steps in the video,
The edit icon is grey, it will not let me edit with color, im a young animator, have any ideas that to help me my solution? Because im stumped 🫤🫤
Let me check it and see, which version of csp are you using?
Version 2
I try another thing, which I have problems with separated objects to import the UV map texture, it's the same thing , is that the case an (glb) -fbx not recognize? Do want to help me with the problem I'm having, that's okay if a (no) I'm not forcing you, your a good person, I'll let you do your thing.🙂
@@shonsoul2596 Hi I dont have version 2, did you try it in version 1?
@@shonsoul2596 Do all the seperate objects share the same uv texture map? I dont think you can import more than one uv texture map
