12:25 well, for 122 men you add 83 tonnes to the total tonnage. That's about 680kg per man. Subtract ~80kg for body weight and you are left with 600kg for food and water (for months at sea perhaps), additional accommodation, personal belongings (clothes , etc.) and workplace (a station designed for eight people weighs more than one designed for two). So I think its not that unrealistic. Or am I missing something?
Stealth, fun fact I've noticed. I don't know where the cutoff is but a single shot with a high enough chance to set a fire, IE something like picric, will INSTANTLY sink any ship without armor. I've done it to both transports, who by default carry max bulkheads, as well as to TB's. Fires in the current game are just absurdly broken to a stupid degree and really need to be nerfed.
20:33 No you were correct the first time. It is "LE Rochambeau" and not "LA Rochambeau". In French, all ships are dudes except some ships like Jeanne D'Arc who is always referred as "La Jeanne D'Arc" even if it is grammatically incorrect. Even ships who have the feminine pronoun "LA" in the name like La Galissonnière are masculin, because the "LA" is part of the name of the ship, so you would say "LE La Galissonnière". The type of ship also doesn't matter even if the type is feminine like Frigates "Une Frégate" you would still refer to the ship as "LE" ship name. Exemple: The Frigate La Motte-Picquet would be referred to as Le La Motte-Picquet. In your case, your ships would be Le Rochambeau, Le Tourville, and Le Lalande. A non-warship exemple would be cars. In French, car is the feminine word "voiture". Take Jaguar for exemple. If you say, "look at that Jaguar" while referring to the animal, in French it would be "regarde LE Jaguar" because Jaguar is a masculine noun, but if you are referring to a car, in French it would be "regarde LA Jaguar" because Jaguar is only a name that refer to a car which is feminine. I can be a little confusing even for native speakers like me.
When teh torpedo beats go dubstep. I'm wondering if their turning away isn't some sort of AI decision tree that prioritizes the AI ship trying to maintain optimal range for primaries.
Next campaign, Do a restricted money. The Transport capacity slider must be changed such that your transport condition never goes above 90. (At game start drop the slider budget to zero until you reach 90%) Finally a difficulty slider in the game! Now you really have to be careful with how you design your ships. Sure you COULD put good armor...but you can't afford to. Force yourself to build the best ship within the VERY restricted budget you now have. Is 90% still easy to campaign with? Drop to 80%. Whatever it takes until you finally have that campaign that you wanted that's actually difficult!
Would it have been possible to put the heavy cruiser's port/starboard 2 & 4 turrets (so second from front and second from back in both sets of side mounts) up on barbets? I'm thinking field of fire for those four turrets.
Ive build some insane CLs/CAs in my time. Dual Barbettes are certainly part of that. Its just a shame that newer CL hulls are soooo late, and depending on country you cant use most of the guns effectively depending on the mark of them. The turrets get way too big. Late game CLs are killers with HE pressure. once had one with 18 6in, and due to tech it was basically laser accurate. Insanely strong. They also had like 15 3in per side against Transports and as support.
Idea for next shipyard champions 10 torpedo boats vs 10 torpedo boats at 2k range and points are +1 for every ship sunk -1 for each loss double the points for running ai for the whole round and -0.5 points for sinking ur own ships or should it be +0.5
The AI, especially the French of course, still love to make these. They'll roll up with a battleship with a full side battery of 11in guns and then wonder why there's a new hole in the atlantic sea floor when I penetrate its massive magazine and cause a chain-reacting flashfire.
I did, after watching a ton of Stealth's vids and campaign efforts, even though it wasn't what you'd call stable at the time. For me, getting to play "What if ... ?" in the ship design outweighed the campaign mode's issues. Going by his latest US campaign, that side seems to be more mature, though still with problems - and I'm not sure if the 49kt cruiser thing is resolved yet.
@@StyxRiverGynoidok so I might just might buy the game, but the campaign is broken?, U boats can sink your ships, the enemy fleets cannot be destroyed, so ok you can build ships but the bigger game is poop,,,,,, hmmmm
@@corsai7506 I don't consider it "broken" - it's just clunky and sometimes prone to doing odd things. You're right that there's no ASW in it, no aircraft carriers either, and sometimes the automated battle results RNG themselves into pretzels, but it's not broken - just needs patience sometimes.
Did you intentionally make it a six inch spammer just to make the obligatory dick joke? It's funny, and I think the same let's you do it just to see what you'll make, but damn. Really wish they'd fix the cruiser bug.
HE'S MAKING A DIVINE BROADSIDE 2!
THE DIVINE BROADSIDE mini

Yeah you're right. My math was wrong
I was thinking it was for all the extra hands needed to deliver ammo to all those guns
the French have invented a new type of a "ship of the Line" 🙂
Wow, that looks hard...
A great battle as always, good job on the tie for second place!!
"praise the lord and pass the ammunition!"

When your ship engineer comes from a long line of pirates.
and has a rather strange affection for large amounts of powder
I think the reason why you lost weight when adding funnels is because you had a set speed and more efficient engine saved you weight on the engine.
That looks…. FUN
That's a cl hunter if ever I've seen one...

Is there a playlist for these challenge videos? I only see the really old season 3 and 4 taskmaster stuff
HON HON LE GALION!
That heavy cruiser is a logistical nightmare, thats what you made
"Who needs lifeboats anyway?" - Probably a person on the Titanic 1912
"What did I build?"
A nightmare. You build an absolute nightmare.
Bit late to the comment party but what you built is an armory with a built in rangefinder
7:46 that holy shit got my dying 😂😂😂😂
28:39 that laugh was adorable lmao
It looks like something the russians would build, tout extensively, then watch sink quietly die to negligence/crappy sailing.
Ahhh dey gon to hav to glu yu bak togeder...IN HELL
Why did my mind read that in a Cajun accent? A THICC Cajun accent. Lol

So many funnels
How to make a transport ship surrender?
Burn it, but gentle. 😁
Heavy cruiser Rochambeau? No my friend, that's a HYDRA you built right there.

That is one crazy ship
You put the “fun” in funnel with these ships.
Had the french invented quadruple turrets for small calibres in 1918 and it would be a threat even for its allies.

A French version of the USS St Louis. Which believe was a Light cruiser as well.
It looks like a centipede with cannons for legs.
You've created the Cruisers from hell lol
😂 atlanta style dreadnought 😂
it's a seaborne fire breathing centipede from hell
You built French bread, otherwise known as pain.
Behold the pile o’ gunz
How do you manually rotate the turrets in shipbuilder?
R
@@Stealth17Gaming Thanks!
If only USN Armoured Cruisers can have that many guns.
The Title, lol!!!
Galeon style XD
Looks like a Naval millipede.
This is a very good heavy cruiser design, and i love it
I dub thee Rochambeau, "Le Baton de phoque."
"That's what she said"
That is the centipede
Absolutley love these videos! Keep it up 👍
Embrace the DAKKA!
When you have to execute a ship by firing squad
21 gun salute, but each gun only has to fire once. also no hands on deck when in combat.
That's what they always call me
22:12 You didn't build an American heav cruiser, you built a TEXAN heavy cruiser 🙂
And the award for best YT title goes too...
Eggs with hammers

Please re-name it to "The Hedgehog"🤣🤣🤣
can you do smallest guns campaign because you did the big gun campaign
17:19 Neuron activation
Porcupine of the Sea.
You've created a monster😊
Rangefinders are supposed to be on the towers, not on the funnels... :P Hope they fix that.
