these are such great kits, they sound awesome with the stock heads, put some remos on them and they really sing and project. Best band for your buck is Stage Custom
They are pretty hard to beat for all the reasons you mentioned. I had classmates in college playing these drums and I would play these out professionally too.
@@denverpercussion I would not hesitate to bring mine to a gig, I played a backyard party once and took my stage custom birch rig with matching snare. All the drummers came up to me to ask me what kit I was playing. When I told them it was a stage custom, they didn't believe me at 1st. I also have DW collectors birch kit, sakae almighty birch kit and a natal maple set, but the stage customs always deliver.
Hello. Please help me out here: I can get the stage custom 5 piece for about the same price of a stage custom bass drum and a tour custom snare (so a 2 piece). What would you do. Is the tour custom snare really that much better?
Hey! Have you checked the bearing Edge of the resonant side of the snare? I got the exact kit 5 months ago and just realized that it is completely flat on 2 sides of the bearing Edge, it doesn't have the angle all the way around, which cause the head to sit properly. 😕 Is it normal?
All birch Kit, M I Indonesia. I owned the same Set, and sold it to a a Pro drummer friend. The skins should to be changed, because the original skins are low end.
