Jess, one red flag I heard you say was around not following 1 of 5, 10, 15 or 20 things you need to on your trading plan. Keep in mind that it’s much easier to follow a plan that is simple. The less you have to remember the better. This has worked for me. Wishing you the best on this 4th qtr challenge.
Your transparency for both wins and losses plus your decision to be a content creator and not wear makeup for the most part, makes you an incredibly beautiful individual on the inside and out. Remember that the most successful traders have all reached a point where they questioned their trading journey but have chosen to continue pushing onward. You are now at this crossroad and I have faith you wont give up. You've got a great mindset, just need to plug the holes in your risk management plan. Simple equation but hard to respect and abide by = win bigger, lose smaller.
Your #1 mental goal needs to be accepting with your whole mind and heart that losing trades are part of the game. Every time you enter a trade, if it works then great, if not then oh well, move on to the next trade. Once you enter a trade, you're not in control anymore, it's all chance like flipping a coin. Your #1 goal in terms of trading needs to be to practice setting a stop loss at the same time you enter a trade and never removing it. I know it's really difficult at times, but you have to do it. I'm assuming from your last video that you're trading ICT, so just put your stop right at the high or low of the candle just prior to whatever FVG you enter on. If your stop gets hit, then your idea was wrong, and move on to the next trade. As far as other types of trading goals, like having fixed daily targets, making money every day or every week, growing your account some arbitrary percent by the end of some period, etc. etc.. just trash all of them. Just focus on doing the right thing each time you trade and don't ever think about outcomes.
100% Awesome advice. Unless she can do this she will never become consistent. You have to have the discipline to at least set a stop to control your losses. If you still are losing then you have to reevaluate your entries and exits. Your advice is spot on.
Minor setback for a major comeback 🙌🏾 all of your feelings are normal and every trader goes through it! Love to see your growth and can’t wait to see you accomplish your goals!
Jess, I have been down there myself. Good to see you pick yourself up and return to the challenge. One thing I heard from a performance coach that resonated with me was base your self-worth solely based on your trading. Embrace all the other positives you have in life. Wishing you and everyone all the best in Q4.
Thanks for keeping it real, Jess. Many people don't understand that you have to be wholehearted and have a strong character in order to thrive in this trading business. There's really no middle ground. Good and bad days will come and you just have to stay true to WHY you're doing this and win on purpose!
You can do it Jess your channel is a positive inspiration as a developing trader myself and I believe in you I can relate to everything your saying in this video
You are inspiring Jess! the fact you've seen payouts and push through this loss inspires me very much along with your vulnerability. I just blew like 10 accounts, i just started about a few months ago but am going to keep pushing and not going to give in! just got my starter plus account to 1500 so half way to passing this time, lets get it!
Thank you for everything.. I listen to this video when charting each morning. You might like it , or not. (How To Handle Pressure And Thrive In Difficult Situations| Denzel Washington Speech,Motivation Video).. I too have set goals for final quarter because it is survival for me. In the final quarter of this I will celebrate every day knowing I am transforming , mentally, physically and spiritually. The version 1.0 of me doesn't exist anymore. Version 2.0 is taking over. I drive to my office which is tucked away in a jungle by the ocean. The office is the back of my SUV. I open my hatch, sit by nature and write down how I performed that day. I ask myself , constantly ,if my thoughts are version 1.0 talking or 2.0? It's important to know that Im in the MOMENT, version 2.0. The now IS the future. Stay in it.... hit the gym. Stay in your heart... your instincts are correct... we can hear it in your voice... ciao ... the best to you!
Physically write down the TRUE reasons for this moment of self pity. Do not share the cause with any human being, it belongs to you. Tape it under the computer, read it before each session, until this temporary weakness becomes strength. All positive and negatives creates wisdom.. On the lighter side, the smallest of gifts (running water) is a treasure… The best to your young adventure…
I believe they've been running the algorithms to stop everyone out constantly more than usual it seems. I'm usually right with the direction but can still lose 10 Apex accounts in a row lol. Good luck
I was experiencing drawdown last week. I had to stop trading and analyze. Turns out my entry technique does not fit the current price action. One change into my trading seems to have corrected my drawdown. May want to consider revisiting your process...
From what I've gotten from this video and your last video is, really the only reason you blew your accounts is because you lacked your risk management. You know the markets Jess, you've done something that a lot of people can't do. Don't give up, minor set back for a major comeback.
