Thank you Mark. I thought 32 was the max and didn't realize the number was actual dB. Although it probably temperature limits at the 1.58W (32dB) as well. I did burn up a Rush Solo at 800mW. The Solo instructions say to use the TBS 2.1 json file. I disassembled the cooked Solo and the little SMD just below the MCX connector was fried. Looks like they did a good job on the package design in terms heat dissipation. Thanks again.
Fantastic! That's MUCH easier! 😃 Thanks, Mark!!! But now I need to find something new to complain about... 🤔 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Hi sr I have a mach3 vtx and I was trying to follow with you on the video and when you plugged your quad in and it said your vtx tipe under current values mine doesn't. Any help would be appreciated 🙏 thanks
TBS said in BF 4.3 Rc 4 there was a crsf baud rate negotiation for CRSF V3. Please advice and let me know if u have any idea on this. 🙏. And something has changed primarily for its rth features in RC 4. Thanks a lot mate. 🙏 👍
Hey Mark, both my 75mm whoop and 3 inch toothpick now have no working smartaudio. My toothpick has a TBS Nano32 v1.1 and a Crazybee f4fr v2.0 FC It had been working fine for ages, even on 4.3, but when I flashed your 2-4 inch toothpick tune on it, SA no longer works. It shows "Smartaudio unknown" instead of the version, and shows "no" for readiness. Same case with the whoop I'll try rolling back the config
I just wired up one of the new HDZero Whoop Lite VTX and configured appropriately. However, the OSD elements started blinking in the video a few seconds after powerup. Then they disappeared altogether. I looked into SMARTAUDIO via BlackBox Debug and got 304 (version) reporting in Debug 0 value. WTF?
VTX tables didn't affect the smart audio protocol. I would guess you mean you would rather it was hard codes like before and not flexible so folks couldn't cheat it (i.e.: show 25mw for all the power levels).
@@uavtech before you just turned it on or off. when VTX tables came out, a user had to know what version of SA their VTX used. As a race promoter, way too much of my time was spent trying to fix people's vtx tables.
Yeah, I understand. It is tricky. TBS came out with different versions of SA and VTXs where not following the power levels correctly. So someone made it that you could control and setup specifically (for better or worse). I guess silver lining is now it is easy to see what version (as shown) and hopefully most popular VTXs have a preset so the 2022 season will be easier. Thank Ivan for the add to the configurator for the version detection. I am thinking of submitting a bunch of VTXs myself as presets for ease of use. Oscar Lang as a bunch documented.

Nice video!
We probably should add generic vtx tables to presets too :)
Yes. Like SA 1.0, 2.0, 2.1, Tramp

you saved me, i love you and you sir are a legend!
Awesome as always!!
Many Thanks another great tip!

Betaflight 4.3 vs 4.2- if you use a stock preset is it worth bothering to update? Not much comparison available that I can see.

Didn't fix it. Hmmm

I have a AKK race ranger 1W vtx , but im getting device ready: no.
Any troubleshooting advice ?
1. port is not setup on ports tab
2. wiring is not correct
3. No babttery plugged to power the VTX :)
@@IvanEfimovLimon thanks Ivan. I realised i soldered my ELRS receiver on the same UART. I need to put the vtx on another now.
Smart audio is messed up on 4.3, i must roll back to on 4.2.xx on some of my quads
How so?
Why Raceband channel 8?
Race band and most VTXs put off more power at the higher channels.
first
VTX tables are a scourge on the hobby. Racing events have been a complete cluster since they ruined smart audio.
